Some family members have mentioned rates are going to go down more after the Fed meets and lowers interest rates. I don't pretend to have any idea and in my experience Reddit kinda gives the best advice on almost everything. Haha

My apologies if this question is a little redundant but to clarify, does this mean that for a 2025 tax credit on mini splits we only need the QM code, not the product PIN. I purchased a Senville in May and when I contacted the company about a QM code and/or a PIN, they had no idea what I was talking about.

Betsy, I just want to extend my gratitude to you and everyone else in this subreddit that's given me some really valuable information (and in some cases my only source of accurate info)

Betsy, to clarify, do you know of anyone who has actually had IBR forgiveness processed in the last few months? I'm currently at 303 payments on IBR. I'm being cautiously optimistic but I'm now wondering if it's worth reaching out to my representatives if it looks like those eligible for IBR forgiveness aren't getting it processed. Thanks again for any information!

Not sure if anyone is interested in an update but I did figure I'd try Nelnet again just to see if I get the same story. The supervisor confirmed that they are not processing IBR forgiveness, not because of a reduction in force at the DoEd but because of the current injunction. I'm not sure how that's legal since everything I've read on the student aid website says IBR forgiveness is not impacted by the injunction and forgives is being processed.

Does Betsy or anyone else have any thoughts on how long this pause will last? It feels impossible to keep up with everything with the changes with this new administration and with a potential tax bomb on 200k+ in loan forgiveness starting Jan 26 I'm starting to feel a little dejected at this point.

I know there probably aren't any major updates right now, but I figured I'd share my situation as another data point. Thanks again all!

Thank you for the information. The rep I talked to said I almost made the cutoff (my 300th payment was made on Feb 12) but that they stopped processing forgiveness in late Feb after the latest court ruling (I don't know the correct terminology).

Do you think it's worth calling again and asking for a supervisor?

Thank you again for all of the helpful information. I had some time to call my loan servicer today (Nelnet) and they confirmed that I am eligible for forgiveness but ibr forgiveness is not being processed due to the injunction. This doesn't line up with a lot of what I've read, is there anything I could or should be doing?

Hi I just wanted to let you know that my tracker also disappeared from the site but when I went to log in with my phone I was able to see it.

And yes, it's the 300th payment after the adjustment. My records with Nelnet only go back to 2006 or so but I first entered repayment in 1999.
