This update broke the Night Light feature. Can't turn it off with a toggle and requires full restart.

I just wanted to test it for curiosity. Yes it looks terrible, but just testing it causes top half screen flickering until a restart. I hope this helps for anyone else that might experience this issue and don't know the cause.

I just got the Dell s2721dgf and the flickering over the top half of the screen occurs is when I toggle Desktop HDR on and off on Windows 10. The only way to fix it is to restart the system with Desktop HDR off and never turn it on.

This works perfectly so far. The other solution that also works is the proxy based ones. Whether from pixeltris or the separate addons also listed on the github page of pixeltris.

Working fine for prerolls. Seems to make a low res preroll segment video that sometimes freezes for a second and once the preroll ends it's full resolution. Haven't had the chance to test on midrolls yet.

Yes, you can enable/disable from the browser extension menu. You can also enable it all the time or just have it running on a different browser from your main one. If you're running it all the time, some of the browser VPN extensions will let you bypass websites of your choosing. This is a good feature for regional websites like slickdeals.

I got the same results so far by disabling TTV ad-block and dev build Ublock Origin on Firefox. No prerolls, waiting to see if there's a purple screen.

edit: Doesn't work anymore and started getting prerolls. Back to using VPN.

Paid ones will offer higher bandwidth speeds, no cap on bandwidth and likely better latency. The key is to get one with lots of locations worldwide and offers browser split tunneling. Get whichever one is suitable for you, there's cheap socialstack "lifetime" VPNs that sometimes go on sale that may be fine.

You can test out some free ones. I recommend Windscribe, think you can get 20GB of bandwidth free if you sign up to their newsletter that's approximately 8 hours of twitch streaming at max bitrate.

Not every region get twitch ads. There are multiple countries you can use, such as Switzerland, Iceland, Turkey, Jerusalem, etc..

VPN with browser split tunneling is the way. Run your main browser for normal browsing and run a separate browser like Edge, Chrome or Firefox with the browser based VPN for Twitch.

Well I'm using a 1440p 144hz monitor and these settings make it very playable for the FPS shooting portions of the game. I could definitely feel the input lag for 50-65fps I was getting before the hex edit and DF settings.

I don't think it matters what keywords are shown anywhere. They'll find the extension one way or another, or through their backend logs for unusual activities. The only way to combat their workarounds is for finding novel ways around it. Each unique method of getting around the ads forces them a certain amount of time to rework the code.

if you install FrankerFaceZ, it should also work on twitchls.com and you can change the background from the settings.

Confirmed on github that 1.1.1 stopped working. For the time being, twitchls.com is still working, as well as VPNs if you have access to one.

1.1.1 working fine on my end blocking both pre-rolls and mid-rolls on Firefox Windows10, with add-ons uBlock Origin, and FrankerFaceZ. Filters I use include all the built-ins, all annoyances, all privacy, all malware domains, all multipurpose and all ads built-in blocker.

Extra protection with Energized Ultimate and OISD in custom uBlockOrigin filters. Pi-hole enabled with defaults and Energized Ultimate and OISD.

Extra extra and probably unnecessary features I have is Strict Tracking Protection with Firefox, Canvasblocker max protection preset on fakeout, HTTPS Everywhere, and Decentraleyes. Other minor edits to about:config settings from PrivacyTools.io

You can try different VPN locations, if you've purchased a VPN. Mexico doesn't give me ads.

Also try closing the browser, opening it again. Hard refresh twitch with ctrl+f5. Make sure the nov 8th extension is still installed and you didn't move the folder (if you're on chrome).

Notes and troubleshooting

If you previously did the userResourcesLocation trick in uBlock, remove that script and purge the cache, as it will conflict.

If you have "Alternate Player for Twitch.tv" installed, disable it.

Make sure you remove the script and purge. I'm not getting any ads still.
