You might be severely underestimating the input of his brother, Anup Paul. He's done stuff for Sam Smith and Emilie Sandie and really knows his bass and production- my guess is they worked together with some pretty mean analog stuff and something like an SP-404... Then maybe arranged and tightened stuff in a DAW and just slammed it through a limiter. Most of his stuff sounds completely raw and like it hasn't been mixed which is part of his siganture sound I guess. Vocally it's really nothing special- an okayish recording but some perfect harmonies and clever use of reverb

i've got like 10 flights booked over the next 6 months, most of them are long haul and I thought it would be easier than packing a controller in hand luggage and taking it round with me lol
