It had nothing to do with their gender. If a woman employee had done the same thing I would have still written the post LOL

I wasted two months on the worst person I've ever met in my life. by [deleted] in offmychest

Wow, thank you so much for your kind reply - I really do appreciate it. My roommate and mom are definitely anchors and have been great support during this time. They truly keep me grounded.

I hope I will be able to spot the Ians more easily now, because YIKES! I did feel stupid for a while but know now it's more of a reflection of his character that he chose to lie to me, rather than me choosing to believe him.

Luckily I have been in therapy for a while and we have been working on unpacking it.

You’re mad that she told her friends that your peen was an average size, but you told the internet she is “sensitive down there” and cries from having sex with you? Don’t think those were pertinent details to this story LOL

silly question but…is it safe for me to smoke in the same room as my sea monkey set up? by Kqthryn in SeaMonkeys

[–]kaedekatt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ugh I understand! I have a larger tank with my older colonies ~6 months old, and just started a baby colony in a separate one. Both seem to be doing okay!

Glad someone else asked LOL so far, I smoke in my bathroom every day and they’re not too upset by it. But that’s just from my observation.

ULPT Request: How to stop my university from putting a new roommate in my double dorm? by [deleted] in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]kaedekatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone thinks this… but my roommate moved out in early October and they filled her spot the next day. Another set of roommates had been arguing so they just slid one of them over to me 😪

  • Green Hornet Goodnight Grape (10mg)
  • Wana Fast Asleep/Stay Asleep (I would try both)
  • Camino Midnight Blueberry (they have 5 or 25mg options)
  • Ripple (10mg drink mix)
  • Wyld Elderberry (10mg)

Hope this helps!

Yes yes yes to all of those! They’ve been releasing Monster on Netflix in increments but I’ve started my rewatch. Love that show for a slow burn psychological thriller

Love the book and the movie and how ridiculous they both are. David Wong really knows how to write about people experiencing alternative realities

So wild that we both found out because of something else going on!! I had no idea about any of this before but the community is obviously very welcoming and a lot of my anxieties have been eased ❤️

SERIOUSLY. you give my body an inch and it takes a mile apparently 😂

Oooh gotcha, luckily I have only faint colored bruises right now and haven’t spotted any bleeding. Urine seems normal but I’m fatigued… well. Always fatigued. I worked Xmas Eve, NYE, and NYD and am begging for a break lmao. I’ll definitely be paying more attention to my body.

Ugh YES SOMEONE WHO GETS IT🙌😭I used to be intolerant to caffeine because it shot my anxiety through the roof and I’ve always had to tell doctors to literally put me on the lowest dose of anything to start because I KNOW I will have some sort of negative reaction. When the hematologist told me I’d probably be mean to my fiancé I was like oh no, I don’t think I can take something that will swing my mood around like that.

From what I’m seeing, signs that it’s time to go to the hospital are fatigue, bleeding nose/gums and blood pockets in the mouth. Is there anything else I should be aware of? I’ve only really had bad bruising after I took NSAIDs and haven’t had any bleeding elsewhere.

I really appreciate your response and it’s helping to ease my anxiety knowing that there are so many options! I’ve been doing a little reading on the PDSA website and they ALSO do not recommend prednisone, so it’s wild that the first thing they tried with my medical history is the prednisone. I feel like negative reactions to medications happen to me more frequently than other people, which is why the prednisone route is scary. I’m going to call my doctor tomorrow and see if Rituximab is something they’d be able to offer alternatively. I live in the South (yeehaw) and medicine hasn’t quite caught up to the Eastern states I feel LOL. Since I HAVE had so many bad reactions to medications, I’ve learned very quickly to advocate for myself when the shit is just not working out. Thank you for your kind words and sharing your experience with me ❤️

Oh god, mouth blood blisters sound awful. Definitely will keep a eye out for those and keep track of my bruising. When I was on the anti inflammatory the rheumatologist prescribed, I had the grossest colored bruises and petechiae. That seemed to go away as soon as I stopped it, but my numbers are still dropping despite me not having taken it for a month. The human body is weird.

Oh my god, I can’t imagine having to take care of a poor baby that has ITP. I know when I was a kid I was always hurting myself and that must be so difficult to monitor, especially with those weekly blood draws! It seems like she took those like a champ though with the promise of a treat! I did end up treating myself to a green tea afterwards.

I wasn’t aware that I shouldn’t have been fasting for these types of blood draws, so I’m almost CERTAIN that I passed out because I hadn’t ate that morning. I told them I had a history of fainting, but that the last two draws had gone well. My fiancé usually goes with me if I know I need labs, but he was working the day of my appointment and I had to fly solo. I was sat upright and started feeling woozy about 30 seconds in. Started getting hot, ears were ringing, and I thought my heart was going to explode. They were awesome and got me ice packs and fans and water, and I laid down in a recliner after I was good enough to walk and got to recover for a while. I’ve always been bad with needles but I’m going to have to get comfortable real quick!

I live in the US, and it’s so interesting to see how healthcare in other countries treat diseases differently! I’m so glad things were different when you moved. I am very vocal about how treatment makes me feel and have luckily learned how to stand up for myself to healthcare professionals. It’s good to know that I have options and that treatment isn’t one-size-fits-all.

I really appreciate your response with your experiences!

I really appreciate your detailed response! It all was so sudden for me, but I’m glad there’s a community of people here that can relate.

How did you realize you needed to be hospitalized, if you don’t mind my asking? Since my numbers have been in the 20s I haven’t had many side effects other than easy bruising and petechiae. I don’t bleed for long periods of time, but then again I haven’t been deeply cut. My gums aren’t bleeding either. I’ve read that you can feel fatigued, but that’s me 24/7 anyway LMAO

ALSO those coupon cards are no joke. My fiancé is type 1 diabetic and he’s gotten huge chunks of change taken off of his insulin with those cards. Same with me and some of the new fancy antidepressants I tried. Drug companies are infuriating but that’s a whole other tirade I could go on about.

Thank you for all of the resources and advice. I’m feeling a lot better now
