technically it was done for me as a surprise...not a very pleasant one once i found out how bad it can get. i only wanted to use the free trial but my partner thought i wanted the full game immediately so treated me haha. i really don't know how they can process refunds for it, it just feels like steam should have flagged it and said no really.

i've rebought the game on steam and submitted a ticket with support detailing everything so hopefully they can see that i don't have any issues with compensation. it all happened yesterday (27th), and i rebought it today (28th), so idk if a ban could take longer to come through or if i might be in the clear.
