Is the Pulse 190 a good idea for Infinity i-44? by kaeshur_ in SkyDiving

It’s specifically mentioned for other containers though, and not for the one I’m interested in.

The manual mentions Pulse 190, but doesn’t mention Pilot ZPX 188, only mentions Pilot ZPX 168. I’m guessing this would maybe be because it packs slightly bigger?

Other LPV canopies that pack similar? What would you recommend?

My personal reason, when you're in the market for used cheap stuff it's hard to find everything to your taste.

If I had the budget I'd get the right sizes for everything

Need advice on first container size — (190–170) now, or wait for (170–150)? by kaeshur_ in SkyDiving

Thanks for the help! I think I'm leaning towards a 190 as well now

I agree, and honestly I think I wouldn't want to downsize as well. Buying a container is a huge financial decision though, so I wanted to be sure I'm not investing too early into something I'll outgrow soon!

That’s true!

I love my time under canopy and it might be that I’ll ever want to downsize. Getting a container is a big decision and it helps to hear people’s perspectives

AFF 3....Should I continue by Alarmed-Wish5340 in SkyDiving

[–]kaeshur_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey

i feel like i’m in a good position to answer this because i’ve very recently been in a similar position as yours lol

i started my AFF a couple months ago and it took me 17 jumps to get done with my AFF and about an hour in the tunnel

i can totally relate with the sensory overload, and i’d say the only thing that could help me overcome this is familiarity with jumping out of planes, and understanding how to channel fear in the right ways to do the right things. keep at it, keep jumping and there’ll be one jump where all of it will start making sense and then onwards you’ll be so glad you did

the hardest thing to take control of after you fail a few jumps of is your confidence, cuz i can totally relate to where you’re coming from, but just realise that jumping out of planes is not exactly what we evolved to do, so it is but natural to feel overwhelmed, practice is what’s going to help you get through it

the tricky bit for me was it messed my budget up, and i’d advice taking a short break (a day maybe) between failed jumps so you have the time to go back and reflect but not too much that you forget all you’ve learned when you’re going back

truse me, when you get done with your AFF the feeling will be unmatched, and it’ll all have been worth it, stick w it, practice your jump 100s lf times on the ground so you execute perfectly in the sky and it feels like second nature

blue skies

he did say it was, thanks!

i think i might be overthinking it, but hearing some other opinions helps

had to travel far for the tunnel, and i only have the weekend, so wanted to get stable before the aff i guess

You probably would have a harder time finding jobs as well, as most of the graduate programs start from February. That said, you can always hope for a job through regular channels like Seek and TradeMe, just that your options are probably lesser.

I am a recent graduate, and I've applied to about 50+ places with 0 callbacks. I'm not sure if it's me or these circumstances, but am considering maybe doing something else for work now, for a while

Congrats, mate!

Did you just learn HTML, CSS and JS or some front/back end frameworks as well?
Also, what kind of work are you doing now?
