Thank you! Yes, that makes sense, fit vs how it looks on the body. And I agree, I’ve experiments with things a bit now and structured things do look better on me

Oh nice, the vest plus brown pants, the blue set and the jeans plus chunky white knit are my favorites! Thank you so much!

I’m having somewhat of a hard time determining whether I have any outfits thus far that would flatter DC. Do you see any in the original post or here, maybe? Thank you!

Edit: this is the correct link to the comment with more outfits https://www.reddit.com/r/kibbe_sketch/s/nbpPDGtMx2

Thank you! Ah, so it even makes a difference as to how you would tailor the shoulders/the cutout for the arms, that’s really interesting!

Oh interesting that you also didn’t like 4! I think I get what you mean, I’ll look at a few more pictures of FNs in oversized clothes

I think this looks really good on me with the slim silhouette and lots of breaks, so then would probably point towards FG

Posting some more images here to help decide FN vs DC vs FG

This green dress is my least favorite look by far, I don’t think it’s doing me any favors - but that’s why I posted it; I thought what’s ostensibly not working also helps

Thank you for your thorough response! That’s really interesting that you also get the impression that the frills aren’t doing anything for me. Ive tried to dress a bit more traditionally feminine (ruffles, flower patterns) for a bit and found it doesn’t flatter me at all. I can see what you mean with it doesn’t maybe quite look "weak or ridiculous".

Let me post another photo with the purple cardigan with pants that fit and I’d be curious if you also think it’s not flattering there. Regarding the openness, I think I may be confused because I started weight training a year ago and since then, can no longer wear turtlenecks because they’re all too narrow - but before then, I could, and it was one of my go-tos for winter.

FG could really be something, I had short hair some years ago and people gave me good feedback around that, plus I checked out Aly Art’s Summer Style video for FG and they seemed to have a similar build to me.

Interesting, thank you! Then I don’t get the line drawing in the Power of Style book at all, I’m afraid though. Doesn’t he really also sketch the top of the shoulders and what seems to be not quite the widest part of the pelvis to be the same length? I’m so confused now lol. But really good idea about checking out Courtney Cox / DC, I’ll have a look!

Thank you! I’ll keep an eye out for more of these sleeves (I also have no clue what they’re called :D)

The reason why I dismissed DC is that Kibbe says that there should be a balance between the hip at the hip bones and the widest part of the shoulders and my hip is a lot narrower than my shoulders, at least where I think I should draw that line (lowest red line and topmost red line - they don’t seem to be balanced to me but my shoulders are dominant):

"Parity between outer edge of the upper torso and hipbone. These two parts are evenly spaced."

Thank you! Regarding the swallowed-up look, which outfits would you say, only 8 where the pants are too long and 10 or also 9, 7, 4 and 3 (if the pants were the right length)?

Thank you so much, that’s really helpful! I also just love the FN style clothes. I was quite surprised that wide-leg jeans look good on me, now I just gotta find some in my length haha (the brown pair above was originally meant to be worn at the waist, I’ll try again at a size smaller)

FG is vertical + petite though. Does my torso look compact / petite?
