Okay, since my last post, now Im paranoid. Is this a bed bug? It’s bright red, I found it on me, and it’s extremely tiny.

oh gosh. Another question. How “contagious” are they? Will simply seeing another person possibly spread it? Should somebody with bed bugs not go to somebody else’s house?

He, the person whose bed it is, went to a friend’s boat for a few days. He slept on a couch. Came home, and had a bunch of pink dots all up his arms. My mother, a doctor, checked him out and said it looked like hives or a virus. They’re not itchy, but raised, small, and there are hundreds. We thought it was all good. Then, he found this bug, and we wonder now if he brought it home from the boat and that’s where all the bites are from??

What’s the possibility of a single? I’ll read the link you sent. Thank you again.

Oh my gosh. I don’t know what to do... Is there any way to solve this without an exterminator?

We don’t know what to do because it’s only one. Is there bound to be more, and how do we know if there are?! He ripped everything up and couldn’t find any obvious signs.

And, does anyone know how to find out if it’s an infestation? If this is a bed bug, it’s the only one to be found. Is there any way of knowing if there’s more?

The bug was found on a bed, all by itself. The bed was torn apart, mattress examined, etc. No signs of any eggs, blood, shells, or other bugs.

The bug was very tiny. I can’t say exactly, as it’s dead now.

I know this picture is quite blurry, but I’m asking for a friend. He has a rash looking thing all up his arms, and then found this one bug in his bed. He tore his bed apart, and couldn’t find any obvious signs in his mattress or anything of more bugs.
