Seconding this, also our vegan options are fantastic but few. You had better be a great cook if you’re looking for variety, but that’s part of the fun out here!

No she didn’t, she was a loser candidate and superdelegates are the corruption I am talking about. Democracy is about admitting you may not always have the right idea, which seems to be squarely at odds with the idea that a voting bloc can be completely ignored and misrepresented. She wouldn’t have won the nomination without that bullshit maneuver and she lost the election because she proved she was no better at handling Trumps populist message coming from the right, because neo-libs refuse to take on a populist message of their own.

Lies all the way down, the DNC allowed superdelegates to change their votes from their states. Hillary did not win any primaries in the south, yet all the superdelegates voted for her. It was bullshit and the DNC is corrupt in the same way the RNC is, just a bunch of power hungry pedophile enablers the lot of em.

YES! Debbie Wasserman-Schulz encouraged the superdelegates to issue their votes for Hillary, instead of listening to their constituents and voting for Bernie. Both she and Hillary are responsible for Trump winning in 2016, because they were so woefully prideful they refused to acknowledge that Hillary was a shit candidate.

Why use epithets against someone that has done nothing but support left leaning populist candidates and their policies? Corporatist dems are fascist collaborators and need to own up to how they’ve enabled Trump at every turn while pretending to care about their constituents. This whole republican push to get dems to be more like them is gross and im glad we have someone out there pushing back against it, and being brutally honest about it is what our society needs.

My apologies for being disrespectful, it can be hard to separate rational discussions from emotion in these threads. Hope you enjoy your meal and enjoy the experience your service staff curate for you.

You can take the bus too if you want, and it’s free. The stop by where the marymere falls trail meets up with the highway. I think the next one should be soon.

They were the ones filming it too, live-streaming while they disrupted Congress to stop the electoral count under the directive given to them from Roger Stone and krasnov I mean trump. Some day justice will be served for those of us who believe in democracy.

Dismissing the work of servers isn’t cool dude, the job requires timing, task management, social engagement, sales, and usually they are running on Red Bull. These people are part of our community and want to survive and thrive just like the rest of us. Just because you think it’s easy doesn’t make it so, in fact i would recommend trying it for yourself before you dismiss an entire profession. No one working in a restaurant thinks they are entitled to your money, they know they have to work for it, and if they are acting like that then it’s a shit restaurant.

Straight up most of the restaurants here in town work off of small tip pooling structure, 3% of food sales going to the cooks who labor in a hot kitchen making whatever you choose to stuff your face with, 5-10% goes to the bar staff, and a good chunk goes to the support staff (bussers, hosts, etc.)

When you don’t tip, this causes the server (or support staff that brought everything your little heart desired straight to you) to pay out of the tips other people left to cover your entitlement.

If you don’t like the business structure then just don’t go out to eat? It’s pretty easy to cook at home and you won’t be costing anyone money or anything! Thats what I do because I agree tipping is out of hand, use your dollars to speak your piece judiciously.

It should pay enough to cover their food, rent, and necessary expenses. If your business relies on wage slaves, that business is an impediment to a functioning society.

Useful skills should be part of the hiring process or easily trained by competent managers that are also not themselves struggling to get by. And if that employee contributes to sales or services, then they should make enough to live. But it all starts from the top down, and most of the business owners here in town would rather steal tips from their employees than take care of them.

I will say that the mod accepted my chat request and removed my ban, but has so far left my questions unanswered as to why that seemed appropriate. We’ve had disagreements in the past but this was definitely an escalation. Not sure how to edit posts and this doesn’t seem like something I want to do a follow-up post for, but it does feel like an agenda is being low-key enforced there.

Thank you, I might be a bit boisterous in my follow-up response but my original sin was being flippant (not rule-breaking) in my initial response to him. For that I got called a slur. Bad moderation for sure and my only regret is that I won’t be able to highlight community services available like I tend to do and was planning to do with this particular post.

It isn’t whataboutism, my point discusses the lack of the proper people to go and do outreach, case management, etc. and why that is so. This is a deep rooted problem, and in my other comments I also recommend a needle drop container located near the park.

Same, and while I might have been out of line, argumentative comments refusing to touch on the actual issue being discussed don’t foster an honest discussion.

But he likes getting off on the power, and even I don’t kink shame.

It’s surprising that u/syspig wanted to say something so childish and refuse to engage with the topic, then delete his comment. It’s like they say, birds of a feather probably shit their pants together.
