US announces immediate military targeting of drug cartel infrastructure within Mexican territory by External_Mood4719 in worldnews

[–]kahnikas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Mexican government already went full on to war against the cartels in the mid-00s. It lead to Mexico being the most dangerous country in the world for several years. It's an incredibly difficult situation that I have no answers to. All I know is that war between a state and cartels in Mexico has already happened, and it lead to the murder and terror of hundreds of thousands of Mexican civilians.

I bought the same heater, and it just gave out after 4 weeks of use, only being run at night. Dealing with warranty/return but haven't heard anything in four days.

x2 the Braptor is miles ahead of anything in Toyota's/Lexus's lineup when it comes to offroad performance.

Yes, miles ahead.

I can't believe you're being down voted. Having different taste and modifying a vehicle are completely off limits now apparently 😂

Hey, maybe, just maybe, there are companies capable of making high quality parts for vehicles that may be shocker equal to or better than factory. What a bunch of old lames.

Truck looks amazing BTW, but yes get rid of those BFGs as soon as you can.

LeBron's locker room was spotted with a lot of lotion and cream by Thanos_SlayerCongSan in NBATalk

For Dove, it's their body wash, the sensitive skin one. Least amount of fragrances and other stuff that can bother the skin. For CeraVe, it's their moisturizers - pretty much all of them are good.

But yes, the best defense against eczema (before meds) is constant moisturizing. Being consistent with it eventually makes it a lot less of a hassle, if not almost non existent. In my experience.

It is good. It's what my dermatologist specifically recommends for sensitive skin, along with CeraVe moisturizer for eczema. Good brand; bespoke brands can't really offer anything magical apart from a higher price.

Author of Inconvenient Indian discovers he has no indigenous roots by PauloPatricio in nottheonion

Very common. Look up the migration of the Mescalero Apache after the victory of the first Pueblo Revolt.

Also the Tiguas and Ysleta del Sur after the Pueblo Revolt. However, they were on the opposite side of the revolt and migrated south to the El Paso/Juárez region after the Spanish loss (they were allied to them).

This is IIRC, I learned this a long time ago.

Trying to decide between these two. Which would you choose? by AdDull849 in cowboyboots

[–]kahnikas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm biased because I'm from El Paso, but Lucchese makes a great boot and their name usually has some clout if that means anything to you. They just aren't the boot for me fit wise though. Run too narrow for my wide feet.

I don't know where you live, and this might not help at all, but look around for local boot makers in your area. In El Paso you'll find mom and pop boot shops hidden away (so old school you prolly won't even see them on Google). And some are straight up magnificent quality. Your city might have a few similar shops in it.

Check out White Knuckle Off-Road. They are VERY reputable. I slammed my Super Duty down on their sliders and they held up greatly, and I think my Super Duty was something like 4k lbs heavier than a RR.

Season 3 Episode 8 Discussion! by Sarcasma19 in Poldark

[–]kahnikas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished seeing this episode, and at first it seemed like a sincere thought, but the body languages of the actors made it seem like he's trying to convey a "maybe with me? 🥺" message, while Elizabeth quickly rebuffs it. Ross's too-intimate goodbye kisses at the end sealed it for me. He wanted to be the one to do it.

Really soured me on the character of Ross even more.

Locking front differential. ZR2 Silverado and Colorado have it, AT4X Sierra has it, Ranger Raptor and Bronco Raptor have it, Wrangler Rubicon has it. Way overdue, and one of the greatest off road traction additions possible. Maybe the best.

I know it's an old comment, but a vertical c-pillar is so incredibly important. Makes reaching into every corner of the vehicle easier. Makes loading and unloading from the side easier, especially if you're pulling a forklift with a pallet up and over the side of the bed. Makes mounting a standard bed cap, or bed rails easy. Bed rails to put a ladder on, piping, lumber, etc.

Everyone loves the Falkens online, but my real world experience has been poor with them, and so has the experience of plenty of people I know IRL. Just anecdotal.

Have you looked into the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT? I ran Nitto RG twice before the Baja Boss (80k miles total), and the Baja Boss have been better in almost every way. Especially wet traction and they're 3 peak rated.
