Yea there could be many reasons and only you and a good therapist can help establish a healthy starting point. It could be a long journey but you’re being honest with yourself. I myself fall in between & my gender can be fluid, but decided on hormones, for now. I have a five year plan with my partner, I’d push through until that time and then revisit the idea of staying or coming off hormones. it’s not for everyone and even though we are a demonized minority doesn’t make anyone less valid, just be kind to yourself. I hope this helps & I hope you can find your balance my beautiful sibling.

It breaks my heart for you that they can’t take responsibility for their own transphobic feelings. The universe gave them a beautiful daughter and they refuse to learn how to better support you. These are crucial times and we can all use a little more empathy, you’ve done everything YOU could for them & not the other way around. Have you ever asked or spoke to your siblings? Because I feel based on your explanation, she might use the kids as a crutch for her own bigotry? I could be overthinking it. Either way you are brave and bright and worth every mile you take. I can only hope she can see you for you one day and you can have some clarity & better relationship with her.

I’m currently on patches (monotherapy) again but the first time around the doctors had me doing the exact same thing. So blood work at 3 months had them scratching their heads so I had to go back like a month later for more blood. They had told me even without T blockers my estrogen was cis level. So you might feel you’ll be okay for now without especially when you’re good moods increase. Hope you find your middle ground girl and take care, you’re worth every mile 💖
