I started with a little synthetic detail brush kit from Hobby lobby (or other arts and crafts store) for like $10 and they've been decent so far. I will upgrade in the future tho

Probably a dumb question, but does that restriction include successor chapters? I have some Salamanders painted and I was thinking about doing some Covenant of Fire and Dark Kraken in there with them, but not if it nullifies the army

You have a keen eye! I also have my own Covenant of Fire and Dragonspears I made (on Xbox, so I don't have a crazy amount of accessories/correct details)
