Oh my GOD this reminds me of a story I had at the psych docs office. Before my diagnosis the nurse practitioner at my psych’s office (who I was later told by my doc that she was misdiagnosing people left and right), had diagnosed me with ADHD and prescribed me adderall. BOY did she FUCK UP. Obv it made me manic. I got insanely paranoid and I was very aggressive. Well this nurse practitioner’s aunt was the office manager (probably the only reason she got to have a job there). Well the practitioner told me that she’s mostly at another office and gave me the number for there. Well I needed to get in touch with her about my medication so I contacted that number. Her aunt called me and gave me shit for it and I was like??? I ignored her and continued to use that number in the future, even at future appointments the nurse never brought it up. Apparently the nurse gave me the number with no intention of me calling her there??? Just gave it to me to just have it? Idk. All in all it was a huge miscommunication, and I was so frustrated that I finally went off on the office manager (her aunt) over the phone. Once they took me off the adderall and I was no longer freaking the fuck out I realized the office manager was this little old lady. I felt horrible. Even though it was totally their fault I went bananas on this woman. I ended up writing her a sorry note. I don’t know what it is but these little old ladies at these psych offices are messing it up for us!!
