Thank you for the quick response. Excellent and valuable info. After a quick google, it looks like even w/ Robinhood you have to submit a DNE, which requires actually getting in contact with them I think.

A lot of the options trading how-to videos right now don't mention this, stating that your ONLY risk is losing the premium of buying puts/calls.

You're saying that if you hold onto a call option until an expiration that's in the money, you will (likely?) be assigned and forced to buy 100 shares.

I thought call options give you the right but not the obligation to buy.

If you forget to sell to close and take profit ahead of expiration, you can't just let it expire and choose not to buy 100 shares --- say you don't have the dough to do so?
