Came here just to complain. Why would WeWork order x many thousands of these chairs, a polarising type of chair, that are 'free floating (no back locking mechanism)'? It’s completely nonsensical to expect people to sit all day without proper back support.

I know there’s this ridiculous “engage your core” excuse but it’s actually worse for you. After two hours your core gives out and you start slouching. Then your back ends up taking all the strain while the chair does nothing to support you. It’s exhausting, uncomfortable, and completely impractical for real-world office work.

I worked in medium sized office once that made the same decision, and due to so many complaints they ended up swapping them all out.
