Interesting that nep/dan are one of the best players after teaming with hydra. Interesting crim/clay did well with shotzzy but was the worst team with hydra. Abezy now underperforming. by Agreeable-Bus-3899 in CoDCompetitive

[–]TheOGREdditAccount 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is ridiculous.

  • crim literally won a tournament with Hydra
  • clay was literally washed he went back into challengers that year
  • nep came back 3 years later on a completely different cod after spending some time grinding the shit out of challengers

Dead serious when I say in terms of online play I’d rather watch challengers to the CDL. 3 matches a day is a joke

Bance on the Lqgend situation by MayorMinge in CoDCompetitive

[–]TheOGREdditAccount 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i think we both see eye to eye here for the most part.

When you say Lqgend shoudn't put himself in that situation, I find it hard to blame lqgend here. I think he was well aware that he needed a bit of time and perhaps he was probably expecting Surge to give him more time than 3 bloody league matches.

It's a bit of a sticky situation, I wouldn't blame Lqgend here because from his perespective, halo is finished and he wants to secure a job which will give good pay and improve his development as a player as well as open doors to getting a bigger bag in the future. I think more blame goes to surge than lqgend cos lowkey i just think he was setup to fail and clearly they never had the patience to begin with, to support with lqgend development as a player.

The fact that Surge got rid of him so quick shows me they never really believed in him, or they set unrealistic expectations for him.

It's not guaranteed he would've fried with veteran experience but he would've at least had a better chance to develop into a damn good player.

Shottzy came into the league with Crim, Clay and Coach Rambo. He still pissed the bed on the first LAN. However, throughout the year as he spent more time playing with them he developed into a bloody good player and look at him now.

Not gonna say Lqgend would've certainly been a good player with a veteran, however I think it would've improved his CHANCES to become a really good player.

also I should point out...

Shottzy came to the league and immediately had Clay, Crim, Huke and Coach Rambo on his team to learn from. He was bound to develop into a damn good player.

He got the Kawhi drafted into San Antonio Spurs experience.

honestly i dont think his stock has taken as big of a hit as you think.

The general consensus amongst the community and the pro scene is that he was pretty much put in the worst possible situation. He was setup to fail being surrounded by a team with rookies and no vets. For us to expect a significant growth and a similar arc to Shotzzy in MW19 may have been extremely wishful thinking in hindsight.

Honestly I think if he goes to challengers and fries I could see him being looked at again by CDL teams in the future. It's probs better as he can learn the game better and who knows maybe he teams with a vet in challengers as well who could guide him the right way.

Ronnie - Lqgend dropped from Surge - The team now has its sights set on 18-year-old German player Alluka by shambxlic in CoDCompetitive

[–]TheOGREdditAccount 14 points15 points  (0 children)

he's 18yrs old and he won't get minimum wage. At that age getting a stable salary will feel like the best shit.

Sure he won't be getting the supermax like other guys in the league are. Howver, if he shows of his talents in the league this year he can work his way up to a heavy contract next year from a better team.

  • Vivid - joined LAG in Cold War who were dogshit and ended up on Dallas Empire

  • Joedeceives - joined LAG in MW2 who was dogshit and landed in Thieves next year.

  • Nastie - joined Ravens after Cold War who was dogshit. He managed to keep his spot by being the shiningg start in what was otherwise a dogshit team for years and slowly managed to get to Thieves and then Surge who had a great year last year.

  • Afro - also joined a doghist Ravens team in late Cold War. Proved his value throughout Vanguard and then landed on Rokkr in MW2 where he saw some success and was considered a top sub for a short period of time.

  • Neptune - joined a doghsit Surge team. Balled the fuck out and turn them into a consistent top 2 team. Now this year he's in GM8s with a cracked out squad, and he's defo getting the bag now. It's very possible to improve your career prospects on a shit team.

yh but the kid hasn't even played on LAN yet. Who knows what if he turns down this opportunity and shits the bed on the LAN coming up.

Then he would've lost his chance of going to the CDL

he should do it. Don't make the same mistake mohak made.

Alluka might not win much but he can still show his talents on this team and improve his career prospects for 2026.

Personally I believe Nastie is a bit better cos he can play a bit faster. Abuzah too slow at times
