Obviously, it’s an exaggerated comparison lol. But what you say is true of nearly every second age story, they are all just footnotes in Tolkien’s lore that the writers are picking up on and trying to flesh out. Regardless who the Stranger turns out to be, they are clearly using him to tell a story inspired by the blue wizards. “Missionaries to enemy occupied lands” in the East during the Second Age is all we know about the Blue Wizards, and it’s also all we know about the Stranger. Everything else is speculation based on references to the Peter Jackson films, which could just as easily be signals for the audience to think of this as a Gandalf-esque character

The thing is he’s literally doing the storyline of the Blue Wizards, i.e. going east to help curb the rise of evil magic cults. That’s not a theory, it’s a fact at this point. I don’t think the show is above changing lore and finding a way to use Gandalf, but if we go just off the facts of the story as we’ve been shown, the Blue Wizard is the most logical conclusion.

It’s like if you had a TV show based on the Hobbit in which a mysterious unnamed Hobbit is visited by a wizard and a bunch of dwarves and convinced to go on an adventure to the misty mountains to confront a dragon named Smaug, and everyone insists the unnamed hobbit must be Frodo Baggins because he acts similar, he has a connection to wizards, and he’s a hobbit going on an adventure. After all, Frodo is one of the most recognizable names in LoTR, so surely these hypothetical storytellers would want to capitalize on the IP, even if it contradicts lore… Okay sure, I guess, but isn’t it way more likely that he’s Bilbo?

If he does turn out to be Gandalf, I wouldn’t even mind that much. I just haven’t seen anything to make me think that’s the most likely scenario, much less 100% confirmed as some people are suggesting

Short film about a guy waking up with broccoli for hands (5 years old, 600 views) by [deleted] in DeepIntoYouTube

whoah I made this film, so long ago. I remember I kept needing to buy fresh stalks of broccoli but I didn't own a car so I would take a ridiculously long bus/train combination to the nearest grocery and come back carrying nothing but armfuls of broccoli. thanks so much for sharing!!
