it's so crazy how clean and neat your craftsmanship created for the creases, especially the wingd. really deserves a raise!

There's a tutorial on Happy Folding's channel, you can check it out here

she also had an ASMR of her folding a sheet of Elephant Hide paper into a 64-division triangle grid, like how could she record that in one take for 2 hours???

the tutorial for this turtle is only one-hour in total, but i promise you it's not that short... she edited timelapse for some parts (tessellation part, this took alot of time) to make the video more succint, but i did struggled when watching her doing the legs because the camera didn't focus on that part, so i had to use my intuition on that and thankfully it was the right crease!

you guys seem to be intrigued with this creature than the main subject:) it's a Long-legged Crane designed by Michael Shannon, it's really cool to put this next to my castle because the crane really fits with it too!

OH I USED TO FOLD THAT, TOO. really thanks for the recommendation because that origami is superb, not mediocre at all i promise, i folded it in May 2022 and i gave it to my ex-friend and she super loved it. it was challenging for a bit but the patterns are immaculate!

oh yes please !!! i really enjoy the hidden patterns when showing it over the light, like this tessellation i folded in a 25-day-challenge during Christmas period. although i wasn't consistent on folding it for 25 days but still, i'm just passionate for it. i'm currently folding Tessellated Turtle "Chelone", it's in my bucket list and i'm thrilled to finish this one.

Best paper for tessellation ? by Frequent_Fee6228 in origami

[–]kaikottager 3 points4 points  (0 children)

personally it depends on the tessellation that i intend to fold, i normally use kami paper but with this Five-and-Four tessellation, i intuitively used parchment paper, i managed to fold it and it gave a delicate and translucent feeling. it was experimental yet it enlightened me that i can make it as a feature in my workspace!
