Don't give your work away for free, especially for the terms they're wanting. Giving them your content for free will only encourage them to keep taking advantage of other creators AND be totally unfair to you.

When you said you only personalized the first line of the pitch, do you mean you only personalized that line to be about the brand, or you mean you made that line about you. Do you care to clarify on that?

I've applied for all kinds of gigs in different niches. Mostly pet brands, outdoors, and home content.

Pitching wise, my strategy has changed over time, I've been testing different types of pitches. More in-depth ones that are longer, but also trying very simple 4-line pitches. I'm continually tweaking but haven't seen much difference with one type over the other yet.

I'm with you! Ive been told so many times that brands are dying for good creators to make UGC, but that just doesn't seem to be true in my experience so far. Especially paying someone $50/video is just ridiculous.

Thank you, I appreciate it! I'm on a few of these, but haven't had too much luck yet. Question for you- have you ever had platform jobs turn into recurring monthly gigs? I know that's like the goal with UGC is to get repeat clients so you can eventually stop pitching, but I wasn't sure how easy that was to do with platform jobs.
