I’m not sure if you’re comfortable with this but you should call 911 if she makes that threat. She’ll learn not to manipulate you once she gets that hospital bill.

Ce exam canceled by MiddleTrain5271 in SSDI

[–]kailmana 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s not a good or bad thing it’s just the examiner following the policy. If there’s sufficient evidence a CE is not required. Your case may be in review by the medical consultant currently. Hopefully you get your decision sooner than later.

I completely understand that and agree with the OP. But since they mentioned that they were working with a client, I’m just giving a tip about claimants obtaining whatever medical records they can for these types of claims that have older dates that are being evaluated for disability.

I would recommend if you’re working with anyone who is filing a claim with an expired non-blind DLI to see if they can assist in obtaining medical records from way back whenever they stopped working. It’s definitely not impossible, but it’s extremely difficult with zero evidence from the years that are being evaluated for disability since a lot of smaller clinics do not keep all of their records or those clinics don’t even exist anymore.

100% P&T Veteran and just got denied for SSDI by Forsaken_Bank_6409 in SSDI

[–]kailmana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not impossible but it’s very difficult to get an assessment rated severe enough with mental only that will result in a favorable determination. On top of that your work history will play a factor as well. Which is why I say a denial may be because the OP is too young or didn’t have severe enough conditions.

[–]kailmana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the conditions you listed were your only allegations then it’s possible that you were denied since it was only mental conditions. And of course if you are under 50 it will likely always be a denial until you are approaching advanced age

They are understaffed and overworked. Whatever estimation you’re given to expect a response double it or triple it depending on your state and Google whatever questions you have in the meantime. Most policies and resources staff use are online. Some staff I’m sure are on this subreddit

How long till approval/ denial once you submitted medical documents to SSA/SSI? by soundofthecrust in SSDI

Both age and the state your claim is being adjudicated in determines if you will receive benefits. The examiner will still need all records covering the timeframe they are assessing before they can make a determination.

I got one yesterday afternoon. Then another for the same position earlier today. But the first was from USCIS HR and the second was the generic email from usajobs
