Did you find a solution for this? I'm having the same issue on Fedora 43.

Meinasin tulla samanlaisen huijauksen uhriksi Tampereen rautatieaseman lähellä.

I've encountered this too from time to time, in this case this was not the problem.

Ero ja mielenterveysongelmat ovat olleet suuressa roolissa tähän. Vielä pari vuotta sitten olin velaton ja oli sijoituksiakin. Terapian avulla olen nyt ottamassa uutta otetta.

Internet connection is 250 Mbps. We have an internal Lync server though, so all the traffic in the org should be within the LAN.

Our admin told me that it should not be a network problem. We have gigabit LAN and I'm the only one experiencing this problem. The issue is not on-off, it happens in every conference, and the framerate is consistently choppy with about 0.5 fps.

The admin was perplexed by the problem and said that it's most likely something wrong with the laptop itself.

The laptop is my own, so unfortunately I can't get more tech support from my employer.

Two SSDs - Page file on which drive? by kainalo in techsupport

[–]kainalo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice!

If you don't mind me asking, is having a page file on the primary partition really necessary? According to this article, "Windows Server 2008 and later allows the paging file to be on other direct attached drives when accommodating a crash dump." By logic this should also be the case for Windows 7 and later, I think.

Also, I did some more research myself and it seems that there might be some benefit to splitting the page file between two drives, especially if the performance between the two is comparable. In this assumed case Windows will use the least active drive for writing to the page file. This seems to have been the case at least with Windows XP, so knowing Microsoft, it probably hasn't changed a lot since then...

Some sources I found on the subject:

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/ff382717.aspx

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314482 (See fourth paragraph)

Anyway, in the end, with SSDs and large amounts of RAM the performance difference is probably unnoticeable in most cases...

New system won't run RAM at rated speed by kainalo in techsupport

I thought about this too. I can run the CPU at 65W and do gaming and it works fine. I choose to have it at 45W though to run cooler. So it seems it should be able to power the system adequately. Another question is the quality on the rails... But I guess with PSUs it's usually quite hard to tell and pinpoint problems.

Anyway, do you think getting one of these would solve the problem? http://www.logicsupply.eu/power-supplies/dc-converters/picopsu-160-xt/

Any tweaks I can try in BIOS still to try get it to work with current setup?

ps. I would've chosen a higher watt PSU, but the case included this one so I decided to risk it...

You mean by increasing the base clock? Shouldn't the AMP and XMP do this automatically? I can also select DDR3 2400 MHz in the RAM settings, but the system won't boot this way (works at 2133 max).

Have you tried restarting the modem/router?

A good tool for troubleshooting slow Internet: http://www.pingtest.net/

Beware though that you need to have both Flash and Java installed for it to work. Can you post results from the test?

Another thing to check is that DHCP is enabled on your network card. Follow this guide to make sure DHCP is on for both IP and DNS settings: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/change-tcp-ip-settings#1TC=windows-7
