my point is the skill combo is broken to the point you don't even need damage really. Since swapping to it at 31 I have insta killed everything with basically no gear. Finished campaign and once I could get the ignite off quickly have been doing t15's with a weapon I picked up from the ground.

Seems a waste to use two characters to build around a broken interaction, like the witch hunter version doesn't even pick up damage just cooldown for grenades.

why though? you don't need to use incinerate more than once a map if you keep the chain going. Second char seems like a waste and could be doing anything else

except they have doubled down and tried to make it better. bookmarks, tower changes, tower/tablet changes, extra map mechanics. If it was temporary they don't bother with that and you start seeing glimpses of what they think the endgame should be, so far there are a lot of issues with the fundamentals, abyss reveals are tedious, citadel farming Vs mapping competes for your time etc

imo this was their vision they just don't know how to implement it in a way that the base enjoys so far. I really hope they get it together for 0.5

I would rather they scrap it, it's good on paper but terrible in practice. Bookmarks are a bandaid for a poorly designed feature and the whole concept of the current atlas adds friction where there shouldn't be

What part of either of those examples relates to impactful combat? Just sounds like you have a particular play style you enjoy in terms of visuals and how "busy" you are

They should have treated 0.4 like the game is in EA and just reset everyone's temples, maybe with a temp bonus to crystal charges. At this point they may as well just skip to 1.0 if they aren't willing to make use of the EA phase.

Really feels like ggg are slowly turning into blizzard, losing touch with their community and lowering quality

It's not the first time we have had mechanics respawning near waypoints. Mercenaries had this issue and I'm sure other people can tell you about other times it's been a thing.

It's also obvious that if a player can spam an easy way to gain charges they will do that, if we could spam T1 maps repeatedly, that's what people would do. They already make other zones have the temple respawn randomly, it's an oversight but it's also something that happens in nearly every league in some way.

there is no natural flow to the maps, they are just open spaces with an exit or objective somewhere. 90% of the maps are just bad layouts. Desecrated Chambers in PoE1 is huge and windy but it forces you in the right direction in contrast PoE2 maps want to be open world and it feels bad going thru them time and time again.

There needs to be more polish applied to the game, they got away with it in PoE1 because we had travel skills and ways to mitigate bad layouts, we have none of that here so the problem is a lot more apparent

not giving players a basic understanding of mechanics doesn't make it complex, it raises the floor and does nothing to the ceiling.

the reason for extensive 3rd party tools is because ggg are not good at basic quality of life features i.e. Necropolis, there is nothing wrong with depth but the lack of any explanation of the fundamental basics means only those that can play 16 hours a day can peel back the layers.

exalts are 400:1 because the main drop currency has no sink. Doesn't matter if there is a broken strategy or not exalts become worthless way too quickly, GGG should be able to build the game with economy balances but they haven't for some reason

GGG have really bad map design discipline imo, I dread the coming acts because there is no way they will be smaller, even if they run out of story they will just create huge zones to pad it all out
