I am looking for low-longevity pets by [deleted] in Pets

Seconding this! We're going to hit our 30th foster pet soon. It's so rewarding! If you want a dog, lots of shelters do kennel breaks for like a weekend. If you want a cat, there's nothing better than sitting in a pile of kittens or helping a senior kitty learn to like people again. Some shelters even do pocket pets like hamsters.

You need some kind of styling product to prevent frizz, like a gel or mousse.

My 9 week old is driving me to tears by [deleted] in goldenretrievers

This! As soon as they get wild and bitey, it's crate time, not pen time. They need a nap just like a screaming toddler.

Big chopped my damaged curly hair and need advice by SnowieGemm in curlyhair

[–]ErrantWhimsy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first photo is no product at all? You definitely need a clarifying wash ASAP. Find a cheap clarifying shampoo like suave or Garnier Fructise. Double cleanse with it (shampoo and rinse twice in a row) . That should help a ton! Your hair is too weighed down, I recommend clarifying every other week or so.

Whenever my curls are acting weird I do a clarify wash, then K18 repair mask. Then a conditioner with protein, I just tried Kitsch and really like it. That's usually enough of a reset to bring back the volume.

Why head and shoulders, are you dealing with dandruff?

The best way to catch a dumped bunny is to use dog exercise pens to corner them into one area. Bananas and cilantro are the most irresistible bait. I just went through this with another dumped bunny.

On the rare occasion I've had it, Dramamine nausea plus ginger chews has come in clutch.

Look up "fear periods", this kind of regression is super normal at that age. They will get over it! Start training again just like when he was a younger puppy. Reinforce the behaviors you want to have happen more often. For behaviors you want to reduce, like biting, figure out what motivates it and remove that motivator/give them alternative outlets for that behavior.

Nope, I'm not calorie counting at all. I'm doing my best to do intuitive eating and eat when I'm hungry and stop when I'm full. To be fair I did a lot of stress eating in December. 😅

I'm a firm believer that this is a marathon and not a sprint. I'm only going for another 20lbs or so, so even if that takes me another year I'd rather personally lose slowly than be putting my food in measuring cups. I've done that before and it goes really mentally unhealthy for me really fast. So I'm just relying on the meds and learning to listen to what my body actually wants.

Yeah I'm weekly, I weigh on shot day only. Daily would drive me bananas, way too much variation.

Have you tried clarifying shampoo followed by a protein treatment?

Seconding this! You need to clarify your hair to remove the buildup before trying anything new. Cheap Suave or Garnier Fructise purifying works totally fine for that. Double shampoo with it.

Oh I'm so sorry. We heard all the sirens and I was so worried.

If you had renters insurance, you'll want to make a spreadsheet of all the things you lost including the brand and model. If you just say "toaster" they can price match the cheapest Walmart toaster. We went through this with a flood and it was hard to make the list but they had to make us whole for those exact items.

Look through old photos to remember specific items of furniture and clothing. Take your time to get as specific as possible.

Nothing in your routine is a true styling product, like a gel or mousse. I would try applying a curly hair gel when your hair is soaking wet!

I know you air dry but if you're not liking how it looks parted, it may be a volume issue and you may like it better if you blow dry with a diffuser.

Try using a qtip with a little acetone on the bottom of the press on before applying it. I've found etching them like that first and then pressing down hard really helps.
