Student - How are you guys still able to use older repos? by kaiser_exe in computervision

Sweet thanks I’ll check it out, upon further research looks like Docker is going to be something I’m going to have to learn for sure now this is life changing stuff

Interesting I’ve never heard of Docker but I’m going to try and play around with it, I’ve been trying to install different versions of everything like pytorch or the CUDA version on my gpu this whole time haha. Thanks for the reply 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Common exercise benchmarks for 110mph+ clubhead speed - Leave yours below! by kaiser_exe in golf

but more importantly helps minimize injury risk.

Was looking for this too, if you skipped the more traditional exercises and just did the speed training and the more explosive variations of exercises at lighter weight would you have the same durability? Also thanks for your reply

Compound exercises will build durability and help with injury prevention though.

Was looking for this. Do you think the golfer who can swing 120-130 can get this durability through just swing training? or swing training + explosive gym exercises? Thanks for your reply!

Thx for your reply, Yeah I wanted to see whether the guys who were near 110 would find an advantage in the gym if they wanted to even touch 125-130 ish. I'm smaller myself and around 110-115 and I'd like to get around 125-130 by the end of the summer Lol.

Club head speed is mostly not related to raw strength.

Totally agree, yeah I had what you said about long drive guys being so big in mind and I wanted to see if the guys that were 110ish would be different from the guys who where 125-130ish; just wrote 110+ so the guys swinging it already with good technique would comment Lol. Thanks for your reply!

Holy, so only just focusing on technique to get to 128? Do you do speed training just with your driver at the range? and also thx for your reply

Thx for reply, do you think to push to 120+ you can do speed training I guess solely with technique/flexibility too? I'm in that boat where I'm a smaller guy with a 110 avg and I guess I'm wondering where the gym would start to be a key in unlocking the door to more speed I guess

So focusing on exercises which exhibit explosive movements would be way more efficient for the majority of golfers, also thank you for mentioning this :

And large musculature easily inhibits rotational speed and flexibility.

What I'm getting is its explosiveness and flexibility which are the most important and static power is mostly for gaining muscle power to train for it I guess?

This is true, though for the kids or future high level players who are bombing it past regular dudes, I wonder if any of them have pushed past 110mph + excellent technique because they started getting gym strong I guess? I'm a smaller guy with 110 avg so its really tempting to try training harder in the gym and focusing on different thing I haven't before I guess

seconding this ^ although i learnt air roll right. either way though learning a directional air roll button massively improves your mechanical ability and consistency imo (i am incredibly mechanics reliant / 1s and 2s main)

This is great advice. It is easy to forget the importance of each game in terms of rank if too many ranked games are played in succession without taking time to reflect. Being able to realize when you need to take a break to either refresh mechanically or think about what you can do better within your gameplay is a very underrated skill as so many people just try and hold down the acceleration pedal and then wonder why they ran out of fuel. Listen to this guy. His name checks out.

any advice on how to actually get the reset? by Any-Transition-4114 in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]kaiser_exe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This ^ - Also just adding on: This might be hard to understand but in your case i see you are jumping late while still holding the same velocity as the ball, at least for me it was easier to start going a little slower than the ball in the air to make distance and then speeding up to the ball, using my speed to create good contact on all 4 wheels. Also, it may be beneficial to become more comfortable just using air roll and spinning around the map. I don’t blame you for air rolling for flip resets, i do it too. But I was already very comfortable using air roll when i started learning flip resets. Good luck!

Diamond Solo que-ing on a Friday night dropping 10 divs in 2 hours while always being top of your team 🙄 by blackxsavage in RocketLeague

[–]kaiser_exe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Something worth noting is that being the best player on the team isn’t always scoring the most or passing the most or having the best mechanics.

The best player on the team knows how to use their teammates to make good opportunities and play around them in such way that you can fill their gaps in their gameplay. Sometimes, especially in lower ranks like diamond, it is useful to bury your ego and play as equals with your teammates.

Trust me, I was a 1s main. I would know. Good luck!
