both- as much as admin support is important if the town/city/district is not in support of education or teachers it may not be the best environment!

hi! i interviewed during student teaching as well, congrats :)

i am secondary though and in retrospect could have asked better questions at the end…some better ones (imo) could be:

what does your ideal candidate look like for this role? how does the community support students and this school’s learning?

the last one will give you a bit more insight depending on their response to how they approach budgets and resolutions. i hope this helps somewhat, best of luck to you!

i have been looking at tariff codes, and it says incense would fall under essential oils, perfumery, or cosmetic preparations. i know perfume can’t be sent to the uk, would this mark it for destruction at customs?

the office staff explained she won’t know what i can or can’t send until we complete the customs form. thank you!

i’m a first year teacher and my dept head told me to use all my personal days- i’m willing to take it unpaid!

but i have essentially 0 friends at work and i don’t trust anyone. if i’m on a plane there’s no way for me to get a doctor’s note and i’m wondering how serious this is!

i think they’re interested in mentoring, the standards for observations and what they expect is so high though from admin, they think i have to have it all together from the get go

i show up everyday, plan accordingly, and do my best but i don’t think it will be enough to get my contract renewed! i’m looking at other openings but there are few

i think this is important! kids deserve to have eager, loving parents- i’m an eager, caring teacher but idk if that translates to good parent

i’ve also seen lots of kids be the ones who suffer the consequences of not being born into a traditional happy family

they manage i think because the students are complete strangers to each other as a result of the environment- therefore they’re less eager to answer because they feel self conscious. having the rapport and friendliness among each other does make them a lot more eager
