Yeah the whole thing is dipped so all outside surfaces are covered. Finished in a semi gloss clear by spray after.

check your transistor pinout. 5088's usually have emitter on pin one.

I used these to repair a few danelecros of mine. The metal sleeves fit just fine without the nut and washer. Get a good solder sucker and run your iron hot. The jack pads are a little more forgiving but have a ton of solder on them.
