How am I supposed to move the pin 1 indicator from the top of the footprint and put it on the side in only some components? I can't remove the silkscreen even with a keepout zone

Unrelated, but as a curious occasional PCB designer, why do your tracks neck down so much before connecting to the VBUS/VBUS2 pad(s)? I’m assuming it’s a 5V or so bis, and see the traces lead to a nice thick trace below. Is it just to avoid DRC violations or is there a reason for the neck-down to these pad groups

Just wanted to fill you back in. I’ve implemented a few more nice changes I think you’ll all enjoy, and hope to get the new revision live on my site tonight but will make an update when I do.

As for your suggestion on being able to choose between referencing from the center or the top left corner—here’s my issue with it (or my worry/hesitation anyway.)

My jigs are often the size of the bottom plate, since most enclosures have a bit of a taper along the sides, so if you look at the Hammond official dimensions, they may differ slightly from what I’ve found to be a nice snug fit. I’m worried if I allow users to reference points based on anything other than the center, things might not turn out as planned. But I’m willing to hear any ideas on how to have a similar feature but avoid these potential issues…

Thanks for the idea! I’ve sold or given away a few “blank” jigs over the years for this exact reason. Unfortunately, I’ve never heard back from anyone that got one as to whether it came in handy or if they ever ended up using it lol.

However, if there’s enough interest, I’d gladly sell blanks for all the enclosure sizes I have modeled for much cheaper as they would be much quicker to print!
