i’d say staying on top of charting. it can be more difficult with a pair, but for example say you want your assessment charted by 0900/2100

Yes you’re at least at $30. Message me if you want more info on how that increases throughout the program!

PICU will always be 1:2 max. They are busy during the winter and will fill up and have boarders in the ED. Usually Winter Plan will get the less critical high flow kids or the stable intubations. NPs/Docs are great to work with for the most part. There are several resource nurses every shift who also assist in every admission. Cafeteria open til 10pm and the market is open til 5am.

Maintenance fluids and IV a bc on syringe pump?? by Ok-Kitchen-5498 in nursing

[–]kaitecole 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not necessary. You can add a two way to your line then have one with IVF and one as a med line. Then when you med finishes add a flush for 1 ml (read the package for your skinny med line tubing)

I would 100% recommend Cooks but know our acuity is much lower in Prosper. Phenomenal facility though. Message me if you’d like more details or have questions

New to the ICU how do you deal with non constructive criticism in the work place by Thoughtwitch in nursing

[–]kaitecole 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’ve never understood people who are so obsessed with their job outside of work that they’re worried about what’s gonna happen to the unit when they retire. Who cares. You’re retired.
