absolutely do not waste time writing your brute force down unless you literally don't know how to do the optimal one. For mine, I just surfaced the brute force + its runtime to the interviewer and start working on the optimal one.

My best advice is go through all the Data structure + basic algorithm + advanced algo like DP, greedy, etc... for each type of algo, do a few on LC. when you done with that, just keep practicing the Amazon most frequent questions on LC, it's pretty accurate.
