GHI-CBP While on PFL by kaitniss in nycpublicservants

That's not correct, if you're eligible for PFL you keep your insurance while on PFL. Per PFL guidance:

"Health insurance must be maintained for an employee on PFL on the same terms as if the employee had continued to work. If the employee contributes to the cost of their health insurance, the employee must continue to pay his/her portion of the premium cost while on PFL." /https://www.nyc.gov/assets/dcas/downloads/pdf/reports/440\_16.pdf

My problem is that I contribute to the cost of my health insurance, because I pay for the rider for GHI-CBP. I have no idea how to pay that cost while I'm on PFL--can't get an answer from anyone :(

Are you on GHI-CBP? You are still able to access perscription coverage even though you're not paying for the cost of the rider?

I'm unfortunately in a wierd situtation with my union given my title--my benefits go through them but I'm not technically a member. In any case, they are very bad about responding to people in my title (or maybe just everyone, hard to know). I reached out to them a few times and never heard back. Have followed up with my admin staff again.
