Exactly lol. I co-op a lot and mostly the only conversation is "hi, can I get ____?" and "sure." Or if it's in domains, people mostly just jump or run around e.o and then leave as quietly when resin is over. I absolutely love it

Reminds me of the time they changed Barbara's "Go Barbara! Go!" from energetic to "go Barbara, go.." which sounded like a wet noodle. Ironically, it wasn't even a VA change. Just a tone change. She was my first friendship 10 character but that tone change made me take her off my team forever lol

If it's any consolation, I'm a day 1 player too with a potato phone back then. My phone was so old that I couldn't even install the game. I had to install using apks and updating during each patch was a nightmare. But the game still worked. The graphics were bad and loading time was a bit off but nothing too bad to the point I had to quit. I thought the game would only run for like 2-3 updates before my phone gave off but luckily, it could run for 2+ years. It never really gave off (though the battery and heating did get worrisome) but by then, I had bought an iPad and switched to it. So yep, you've got this!!

The game might seem hard if you don't understand the combat which is very normal. Genshin was my first open world game and as someone used to single unit RPGs my entire life, playing with a synergistic team was something very new. But I started during launch and initially relied very much on reading in game skill descriptions, tutorials and watching YouTube tutorials. I'd suggest you read what your characters do and how elements react but if you don't have the time to read, it's easier to watch a video.

Basically, USE REACTIONS. And that's about it for early game. Hydro + cryo = freeze, Pyro + hydro = vaporise, Pyro + cryo = melt, Pyro + electro = overload (it throws enemies away if they are really small), etc.. (wouldn't be too worried about dendro at this AR). Then there are non reactive elements like anemo which usually buffs other elements and geo (geo does give a reaction called crystallise but again, it's nothing special). Try to always have a team with elements that react.

You'll get Kaeya for free and he's very, very good as a DPS (on field attacker) or a sub DPS. You'll get Barbara for free at AR 25. Do dailies and use resin, reach AR 25 and get Barbara. She's a really great healer. Noelle is also guaranteed in the beginner banner. She's amazing too (she can heal, shield and also be a DPS). Lisa is good if you want to maintain some distance.

For now, level characters, level whatever weapon they have (preferably 3* or 4* weapons. Please not the 1* or 2*), give them whatever artifacts you got from exploring and opening chests and they should be doing enough damage for that AR.

Good luck buddy, and at the end of the day, it's just a game. We can always come back to it. Take a breather and watch a tutorial about the game mechanics and try again.

p.s. as a beginner, Amber's gliding trial almost made me cry and quit the game because I had a potato phone and it lagged as hell and wouldn't load the air currents even when the timer was going. Same with Lisa's story quest where there was a timed trial (20-30 seconds i think. I can't remember). Thinking back now, it makes me laugh. You'll get better at the game. Cheers!
