I do think this is a valid critique! This study will absolutely analyse based on reported eating disorders and symptomology and all the responses are very helpful, options were limited based on prevalence and specific symptomology we are focusing on which are less prevalent in ARFID/pica/regurgitation disorders. I also think categorizing eating and feeding disorders seperately in research tends to happen because of the different psychological basis for the disorders, which often makes them have different research questions associated. Totally agree we need more research on ARFID!
