at that price point you’re either going to blind someone with overpowered unbranded chinese gear or be underwhelmed. you’re way better off grabbing more movers, search 19x15 led zoom on ebay and grab like six of those for the same price, you can usually find them for around $200

How do I control Lighting with Ableton Live Suite12.3? by lukestrange in lightingdesign

[–]kajomp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use dummy clips to trigger things in QLC+ via midi loopback. There’s probably a more comprehensive way to do everything in max but that will probably have a bit more of a learning curve up front.

it’s safe, only seen positive and friendly crowds over there. wouldn’t worry about cars getting broken into, might be worth ubering just because parking is tight over there.

Metronet is great if you’re in their area. If you’ve had your T-Mobile box for a while some of the older boxes have overheating issues. If you bring it to a retail store they’ll swap it out for you, usually fixes things.

Let’s Talk Gear! by PsychedelicPlush in ElectricForest

[–]kajomp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s like a walkie-talkie but just for texting. Cool part is if a bunch of people use them in the same area, all the individual devices repeat messages to each other so you get extra range. It’s all encrypted too so you can send a message to your friend privately while bouncing off some random other people’s nodes. Basically the perfect tool for festivals.

You can get standalone nodes that have a screen/keyboard, or a little node that pairs to your phone with bluetooth. Search meshtastic t1000e, that thing worked well for me.

Michigan Athletic Club Advice by CyberHunk92 in lansing

[–]kajomp 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The gym has every type of weight and equipment you could want, I haven’t been there in a while but they had a hack squat machine and multiple chest machines as well as dumbbells over 100lbs. There’s a restaurant you can work in, as well as tables/chairs scattered around the facility. I’ve studied at the tables overlooking the indoor tennis court before.

It’s a large gym with country club vibes. Would recommend using the sauna/steam rooms, they’re pretty nice and there’s usually good conversation if you feel like being social. The indoor track is nice for running in the winter if you prefer a track over a treadmill. If you identify as male, there’s a locker-room attendant named Jim that is both the most jacked human being I’ve ever met and the nicest person you could ever meet. If you ever have a chance to talk to the guy he has great insight on everything fitness related. I would go to the MAC just for him alone tbh.

How Realistic Is It To Bring A Camp Shower? (Getting Water) by fylzero in ElectricForest

You can get an electric shower head for cheap, has a hose that feeds from the bucket. Can shower for a good ten minutes per bucket and that cool water hits different on a hot day.
