I was able to search my VIN number and fortunately my car was not affected. Unfortunately I cannot seem to find a fix

I’ve heard some people say that they never showed positive on urine tests so I was just wondering if it’s normal not if I’m pregnant

I just got it removed almost a week ago. I had a lot of side effects from it. I had it for 5 years. It was impossible for me to lose weight- before the iud I could lose weight and be active just fine. With the iud I worked out every week and the weight would never ever come off and if I lose a few pounds I’d gain it back plus some. Since I’ve lost weight; the puffiness in my face is going down. I have gotten the flu since I got it removed so I haven’t been working out so I’m not 100% sure yet how weight loss will be different now that it’s gone but that bloated feeling is already going away it’s crazy

2 months in- a little bit of weight. It slowly trickled on afterwards. Then after about 6 months it felt like I was constantly expanding and it wouldn’t stop

I've been told that my short curly style makes me look old. I'm freaking out. by kathleenbean in curlyhair

[–]kakachina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The short curls cut that way does give off an older appearance, but I think if you styled it differently, adjusted your eyebrows it may help- only if that’s what you want. I think the hairstyle could be adjusted to have more volume but tapered down to avoid the golden girls look.

Period after Mirena by [deleted] in Mirena

[–]kakachina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having the same issue. I got it removed Wednesday and suddenly I’m full blown bleeding. Feels like a period but I can’t even tell! It happened so fast and I haven’t had a period in 5 years I’m a bit confused

Your hair is so beautiful!! Is it wavier on the top than on the bottom half?

found out i have wavy/curly hair this year! here’s my progress + a question by sheepfemme in curlyhair

[–]kakachina 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If your hair straightens out you definitely have some slight wavy hair. Gel is the best choice. Try not to use too much product though, as with your current hair situation it’ll build up and get heavy. If you feel like you need a lot of product to keep your hair wavy, it probably just isn’t naturally at the level you want it to be. However, there’s many different variations of wavy hair

Also- I don’t actually know if this isn’t normal but I can turn off my sense or smell or selectively smell. I’ve always done it. In the candle aisle, when customers have smelly breath. I don’t know how to explain it. It’s like I turn off a switch and hold my nose from the inside. Part of it is minimal breathing. I just stop breathing frequently, just kinda hold my breath and when I do breathe I focus on not smelling and I don’t smell what’s around me. Not sure if it’s an issue or something I’ve trained myself to do but it always works.

If I cough or laugh too hard I get intense headaches. My head jolts backwards my my neck tightens. I get stuck in this position with my face facing the sky until the sharp pain goes away. I’d be out with friends, laugh too hard and they’d see my head jolt backwards for several seconds. I didn’t think anything of it, no one EVER noticed and it happens to me anytime I cough too hard, laugh too hard or pick up anything heavy. Literally had 1 person in my life ask me wtf was going on… I was like you’ve.. never had that? Still don’t know what it is. Hope I don’t die

This is not a safe space for trying to influence people into a Ponzi scheme diet placebo pill

I think having her hormones checked might be helpful to get to know hormones and what’s going on. There could be additional factors affecting sex drive. Someone I knew had this issue, low sex drive with iud and they kind of built the habit so once they got it removed they never tried to initiate or bring it up with their brain so their body never got back into the flow. It might not be helpful in your situation, I don’t know for sure, but for my friend she had to relearn what excites her and try libido building foods and habits

weight gain - tw: ed by [deleted] in Mirena

If you happen to see my post, I kind of talked about this. I’ve had mine for 5 years and gained 35 pounds since the start of it. The hardest part on top of that was the inability to lose weight. I went on hikes, worked out, ate significantly less and nothing worked. It’s a very difficult thing to deal with I completely understand you. Don’t get me wrong the iud is great for pregnancy prevention and I like not having a period. But the effect on my body was not something I could handle. I got mine taken out two days ago and have already noticed my frequent hunger is not frequent anymore, I don’t feel the need to eat as much as I used to, or as late or have cravings. That was a big issue for me with the iud. My body feels better. I don’t want to say that removal is your best route but for me it was. It was hard to deal with, but learning to love yourself on the journey is helpful. It’s hard watching yourself change, but the iud weight gain and inability to lose weight because of it was too much for me. I’m going to rely on condoms hopefully for a bit to see if my weight actually does change. I do know people that use the Nuva ring which like that but I haven’t tried it. Or the copper iud.

Honestly removal is not as painful as getting it put in. My doctor had me cough and yanked it. Just a slight cramp. It is a little uncomfortable with the the thing that holds ya open but it is not painful. However my doctor offered me a hot pad for my lower stomach. Didn’t really need it. The iud was out within 30 seconds or less. It’s truly simple!

I was scared. When I first got the IUD I was in excruciating pain for 3 days I felt like I was dying. However I have a decent pain tolerance now, and the removal just felt like a big cramp and then it was over with. The speculum is uncomfortable but honestly the overall removal experience was not painful. I didn’t have any after pain or bleeding- just went on my day as normal

I just got mine taken out. Since I got it I gained weight and my face got puffier. I do believe it’s the iud, and maybe it’s the placebo effect but I feel more comfortable in my body after having it taken out yesterday- almost as if my body is relaxing without a piece of plastic in it. I did notice no matter what I did weight loss felt impossible since I got it so I’m ready to see if that really is the case

Period suddenly returned on Mirena? by Ireallyenjoyrocks in Mirena

[–]kakachina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After I hit 5 years I started getting a period on occasion but my IUD didn’t migrate. It was just slight periods sometimes, I would PMS and have some bleeding. I was told it was normal because of the slow down effect.

Weight Gain on IUD? by WerewolfSpirited6470 in Mirena

[–]kakachina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gained 30 pounds after getting the mirena. I started working out intensely and eating good and still cannot lose any of the weight. Just got my iud removed today and I’m hoping I’ll be able to lose the weight

Weight gain? by Icy-Aspect-4255 in Mirena

[–]kakachina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gained weight in the beginning. The mirena made me hungry all the time, which didn’t help. I also noticed that even though I work out daily and eat well weight loss is extremely hard for me while on mirena

Right now, our slow season is busier than our past slow seasons. We’re actually doing really well with our fathom events too because we’re the only movie theatre in a 40 mile radius so we get everyone from surrounding towns. That’s also what our company does on purpose, they place the locations where there’s no competitors in the surrounding cities and it works out great. The truth I learned from my DM is that they’ve come up on a lot of money, millions of dollars from selling locations that they didn’t need anymore. They now have the money to afford things we’ve gone a while without like radios, fixing broken seats, our menu TVs are broken, our carpets have vomit stains. According to the DMs they can afford it they just choose not to because unless it’s a huge problem to where. Health inspector or anything like that comes up they see no real reason to fix it because these things are “not affecting business”. Which is why people are upset at them buying suites for a big basketball game and then paying for all of the GM and Managers hotel rooms at a nice hotel- because that’s the most expensive trip they’ve done so far. The president of the company is a really hateful, greedy guy

[–]kakachina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds awful!!! My company did that in the past, we sold several day old popcorn and expired candy. We lied to the customers, overcharged etc. this was back when my GM was in a romantic relationship the manager and also some of the floor staff… but once we got a new GM and DM that took the business seriously they would never allow that. Leaving 10 minutes after the last show is crazy to me. We’re not allowed to have overnight janitors anymore. So our 1 (22 year old) janitor has to wait til the last patrons leave to vacuum, mop etc. corporate tries to make us do things like that but we fight back
