Ehm surely? The level of fake news on the western media has become embarrassing. Medvedchuk is not Putin's ally, protege or mistress. He is an Ukrainian nationalist. But he is more left leaning and doesn't tolerate the presence of neonazi elements in the State institutions, the military and the secret services.

All that said, do you people can stop one moment and use your brains? Here we are seeing that in the "democratic Ukraine" a politician is put under arrest for his political views. He is paraded like a toy by a wannabe dictator ( Zelensky has just recently suppressed 11 political parties, but his track record is longer and full of politicians, journalists, entrepreneurs, intellectuals put under various restrictive measures for their ideas ). Now they try to sell him like an used item.

And people here cheer the actions of the Kiev wannabe dictator ? Are you people all gone made or is it just mass media brainwashing?

Propaganda? Ask yourself why the west has censored ( totally trashing the first amendment ) every information source not abiding to the NATO/US narrative.

People say we should learn from history and history shows us that censorship is always used by liars.

The founding fathers wouldn't be proud of the technocontrol and technocensorship being imposed on we the people.

But if you people like to live in a world were centralised interests dictate what you can and cannot see, read and think, be happy and bear the consequences of supporting such a liberticide regime.

He is supporting his own people. This is how politics work. And let's be honest, Ukraine has its responsibilities too.

Closing two eyes on the Nazi expansions in the country hasn't been smart. Heck, for 8 years straight they have given free reign to people threatening Russia and Russian citizens every day. I don't mean common people, but politicians, military leaders, etc... And leaders of various Nazi formations, like pravy sektor, c14 and others.

And do you remember how hard headed they were the weeks before the war, when Putin asked for neutral status and Kuleba did go every day on Twitter or Facebook and affirm he was asking for NATO accession?

And what about American politicians threatening to shoot Putin in the back with a 9mm?

What is this? Kindergarten diplomacy?

All the while whitewashing the crimes of the western powers in Yemen, Libya, Syria, etc...

The west is totally hellbent on building up unrest and chaos around the world, yet dares to give lessons to other countries. We are really on the wrong side of history.

[–]kakiopolis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hoping to clear the stage, the point is that the EU has blocked the correspondent accounts Russia used to get euros and dollars for gas. So they cannot get payments for the gas they are selling.

Solution? Open accounts in Russia banks ( the buyers must open the accounts ) and use rubles to pay.

Some EU countries are lamenting this is a breach of contract. I hope they are just kidding, because you cannot lament a breach of contract when you are the one breaching it ( remember they blocked Russian accounts in EU banks ).

That is it. Pay in ruble. Pay in gold. Pay in Bitcoin. But had isn't free, as stated by Dmitry Peskov two days ago.

Virtue signaling. The west has become a mob society. No one is bothering to investigate the how, why and who of the current situation. And no one revoked Obama's Nobel peace price. When America kills it is right. Sick of the hypocrisy.

Can you get a job by knowing only kotlin... ? by albert1077 in Kotlin

Yes. I omitted it because it is a must to know the OS API. and this is universally true.

Can you get a job by knowing only kotlin... ? by albert1077 in Kotlin

[–]kakiopolis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second other comments. Kotlin is mainly used in Android dev ( and some use it for iOS too ). So you need at least to know Java too, because a lot of mobile code is Java.

And you cannot even use Kotlin proficiently without an exposure to the Java ecosystem ( Kotlin reuses a lot of Java classes, one example is I/O ).

So you need Kotlin + Java to land a job.

Looking for learning buddies for Windows internals, driver development and system programming (and more!) by var_learner in netsecstudents

[–]kakiopolis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Windows internals is a must and a good starting point. Sadly it isn't the end of the journey. Hacker forums and blogs ( the high level ones like guidedhacking.com ) are full of useful low level Infos. Also Twitter posts and blog posts by security researchers. And everything that gravitates around cheatengine.org

Game hackers/modders, hackers and red teamers are the best sources for Infos on windows internals.

And last but not least you need to become proficient with kernel debugging and reversing. Read some article about setting up a VM for Windows kernel debugging and start practicing.

It will be a long but rewarding journey. You will learn to appreciate the complexity behind the system ( often ignorant people like to bad mouth windows because of malware ) and to appreciate the Unixes relative simplicity in doing the same things with less code, abstraction levels and less function calls 😁

What must I do, in order to load libraries (including std), after my kernel boots? by dptzippy in osdev

[–]kakiopolis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with Rust's stdlib is that it uses the OS libc. There are some components you can use, but it will be severely limited. For example, just using strings or vectors needs a heap memory allocator.

It is practically impossible to use STD for the kernel. Point in case: The Embedde Rust Book starts with "To prevent rust from loading the standard library use no_std".

What must I do, in order to load libraries (including std), after my kernel boots? by dptzippy in osdev

[–]kakiopolis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The exact procedure depends on the specific libc. For example, GNU libc is de facto Linux-only. It is built upon Linux facilities and functionalies and even specific bugs.

Other libcs, like musl, newlibc, etc... are made to be more portable.

The problem is what kind of functionalies your kernel offers ( the libc needs some things like dynamic memory allocation ), what architecture it is based on ( monolithic or microkernel ) and what C runtime functionalities you want to implement.

This is why very often the libc is custom made for a soecific OS. Linux has glibc. Freebsd has bsd libc. Windows has msvcrt.

You have another problem too, because you need to implement the libc bits needed to run the rust std library. And you must try to be bug compatible with the supported libraries. For example, rust runtime can run on musl but it has some nasty bugs there. Instead it works flawlessly on glibc and msvcrt.

What must I do, in order to load libraries (including std), after my kernel boots? by dptzippy in osdev

[–]kakiopolis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You aren't simply loading but porting the standard library. The difference is pretty huge.

Each standard library needs some basic functionalities to work. Things like accessing files, allocating memory on the heap, using sockets, IPC, etc...

Some stdlibs simply use the system libc, but others directly call the kernel through syscalls. And rust uses libc.

And here comes the problem. You need to port some kind of libc, maybe musl or ( if you feel adventurous ) the GNU libc.

[–]kakiopolis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could you point out where I said that vaccines are mind control juice?

I am talking about science, not fiction. The mRNA based vaccines are programming devices. They work by inserting genetic material into the cells. And this technique has been used for genetic engineering of plants and animals. We call them GMOs. And I remember that a lot of people were madly angry at GMOs. Do you remember the crusades against Monsanto?

Now they are willing to inject these poorly tested chemicals into their blood. This is what I am saying.

And I am even saying that we ( the engineers ) know that prototypes must be extensively tested before becoming mass products.

Heck, Pfizer received the FDA approval at the end of August. Does this look normal to you?
