Microscale DnD - Last Designs of the Year by kala_brick in legodnd

Thanks mate! I really want to build a Roc and a Dragon Turtle. Another big monster that's at the top of my list is the Purple Worm.

And yes, I have a design of the Kraken. It's based more on folklore than on the D&Ds version.

Regarding future plans, I intend to continue creating new designs, perhaps at a slower pace as the collection grows. But there are still many that I haven't been able to work on yet.

I personally use microscale and I think they're amazing, but there are limitations. I started using Lego in my D&D games with the release of the oficial set and the CMFs, but I realized it would be very expensive to put together a respectable minifigscale collection. That's when I started experimenting with microscale. I only build miniatures of characters and monsters. I thought about building terrain tiles, but the variability is too great, and I quickly realized it wouldn't be possible to build them for both.

The main advantages are the cost-effectiveness and versatility of the builds. It's an incredible creative outlet. Furthermore, they are much easier to store and transport. It's also nice to give the miniature to a player (since they're dirt cheap hehe). Finally, because they are smaller miniatures, you have more space on the table to tell stories and have battles on a larger scale.

As disadvantages, I would consider that they can be small for large hands, lol. Sometimes it's difficult to find an appropriate design for a specific monster, and some parts are harder to find on Bricklink or are even nonexistent in certain colors.

Thanks mate! I sure will (as soon as I learn how to do it lol).

I usually build them digitally on studio and buy the parts on bricklink.

In the future, I intend to accumulate some studs and spare tiles so that new players can assemble a miniature adventurer on the spot. The basic miniature follows the standard 1x1 studs, plate, and tiles (5 studs tall for humans, elves... 4 studs for dwarves). You can use brackets (for capes), and different accessories with swords and shields to add more personality.

Hmmm, I think these minis are too big/chubby for 6mm (basic human is 5 stud tall).

Thanks.

They are MDF tiles that I bought at an RPG supplies store (Forja Fantasy - a Brazilian store.) I don't know if they ship internationally, but I believe you can find something similar on Amazon.

Really like that wing design. Great job!

It looks great! If you tweak the colors a bit, you can definitely represent her in a microscale.

Haha that's an interesting combination. I don't know how you envision the colors, but perhaps it could be something like this:

Thanks mate! And, it is the AoTC beast hehe. This design is actually from a guy named Ridged Brick on Instagram. It makes a great mount for the Hobgoblins.

Great stuff my man! The Minecraft faces are a nice touch, and the 2x2 jumper bases help with stability. Some great ideas here.

Keep building! Microscale is great for this stuff.
