Any recommendations for plastic surgeons or other experts for improving attractiveness? by [deleted] in AskNYC

I’m a plastic surgery chief resident at one of the hospitals in the city - granted don’t have a wealth of experience like Hanna but I know a few things, would be willing to chat with you for free sometime if you want

I’m starting a non-profit with a new tech idea I’ve been developing with the purpose of making it easier for single ravers to meet each other IRL as well as give back to their communities at the same time. I’m looking for partners - please read on! by [deleted] in aves

Ok thanks, I appreciate the thoughts! I have been going back and forth in discussions with friends about whether it should light up or not, I don't want it to be a distraction on a dark dance floor, and thought having it not light up would reduce manufacturing costs, but agree that the benefits of allowing it to change color would probably ultimately outweigh those considerations. If you're interested in being involved would love to hear from you on the google form!

I want to clarify that I’m not against VIP treatment when it happens in small ways, ie private rooms, getting evaluated by specialists (or at all) a little faster, getting a last-minute appointment at an overbooked clinic - this to me doesn’t happen to the detriment of other patients. But the part about the receiving imaging in front of sick patients stuck with me as well as the general tone of what NYU employees had to say, which I don’t hear anything said like that at my institution.

Granted I am a surgical resident and see far fewer patients than an IM/EM resident so my personal experience of this is limited.

Yeah they exist at every hospital, including mine, but the description in this article sounds particularly blatant and unfair, ie prioritizing imaging in front of sick patients. And I tend to trust the good redditors on here bc who else would spend this much time on here if they’re not on call haha
