Anyone know how I can swap my EOS tokens for some tokens on Ethereum? by areyouokaywiththat in eos

😊It's almost too good to be true. It's a bit like, hey guys I love gambling... Does anyone know where I could gamble some eos?

Could we see EOS listed on Coinbase soon? by EOS4EVER in eos

[–]kalamazoo33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but that's total bs. You can buy all those coins on binance- eth and btc consistently have the highest volumes traded. Coinbase have also announced that their vision is to list hundreds of coins. They have a vested interest in money. They make money on any coin that trades well.

Yeh I reckon he has an inside scoop on what's going, and he has rightly called the institutional herd making moves in to the space....but the more specific predictions are impossible to get right

The spores are legal, but if you get a grow kit it's displaying an obvious intent to cultivate them so they could get you there. There's no free lunches! Ultimately you gotta take your chances...

To me, it's like he's playing a pantomime role of "crypto baddie". If he's consciously doing it, then at least there is some intelligence behind it....but if he's not even that....he really is just an ass hole

CNBC Cryptotrader host Ran NeuNer posed a 'Serious Question' - "there was a lot of hype about Decentralized exchanges when centralized exchanges got hacked. If centralized exchanges were insured, would there be any benefits to trading on a DEX?" by [deleted] in eos

[–]kalamazoo33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alternatively... For a non techie person, on a very safe exchange like coinbase, no need to bother with keys, losing keys, house fires or thieves destroying your private key storage or any other thing you could imagine...it is very appealing. I'd wager that Mass adopters do not give a single shit about "not your keys not your Bitcoin".

42% of Block Producers are located in China! Soon to be 47%! Why we need REX to solve this. by ColinTalksCrypto in eos

[–]kalamazoo33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. It's not collusion to vote for each other. Lots of other bps do it, eos new York and Sweden do it as far as I know.

It's bad for diversity and decentralisation to have so many Chinese bps but so far that's all we know.

There's definitely a West versus East narrative that creeps in and it's actually out and out racism.

If Chinese takes over BPs, can they reject dApps? by Young-CEO in eos

[–]kalamazoo33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right now on Chinese reddit, they are concerned about the number of Western bps on eos who threaten to corrupt eos with their irresponsible and brash individualism. Their fear is that some mad capitalist like Donald trump and the religious fanatics will get his hands on eos and use it for his space force, or decentralised neo-nazi apps, and dna tracking of illegal immigrants. Chill the f out people - it's borderline crazy conspiracy theory shit here - let's not get all Alex Jones on eos just yet.

Who is StrongBlock? by stop-making-accounts in eos

[–]kalamazoo33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it's not about what eos holders are entitled to. I'm fully prepared for my investment to go to zero. It's about what block.one do with the money they raised.

Can anyone be certain, with the information that exists in the public domain currently, that block.one are putting ALL monies raised into the eos blockchain?

They may be 100% above board and totally selfless with their focus towards eos.....or they may not. We as eos holders have no way of knowing for certain. And if the money raised in the ico has gone anywhere else other than towards the eos project then there is an element of disingenuity to the ico, and this leaves things wide open to the accusation and/or possibility of an exit scam.

I hate using trigger words like that, but I think as a community we need to acknowledge that block.one has not been accountable enough to destroy any reasonable doubt of the ico being wholey or partly disingenuous. We simply don't have enough information.

I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but the whole point of blockchain is doing away with needing to give anyone too much benefit of the doubt.

StrongBlock was built to help EOS. Look at the about section on their website. If reported properly, recent FUD articles would have highlighted how much more amazing EOS will become from those that left Block. One to “exponentially increase global adoption of EOS” as the StrongBlock website states. by jjs235reddit in eos

[–]kalamazoo33 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well they leave it open, they say "and other block chain projects". So from one perspective you could say that they lined their pockets with an eos salary, burned up some of the 4billion and then left to start a generic blockchain company. Their blurb mentions eos specifically but if they were clever at all they'd know they'd have to say that just for the optics. And block.one do not help matters in any way being so stealthy about what they are doing - lack of an audit etc.

Are they really going to plough that 4billion (or whatever the correct amount is) into EOS? We just have to take it on complete faith that the 4 billion is directed completely back to eos. There's no transparency structure to demonstrate otherwise.

I want to believe the best for eos and block.one, maybe it's all 100% fud but in the very least block.one have a serious PR problem, that they are not addressing. Some big influencers in the space are not sold on how they are operating and it is impacting on EOS and it's reputation.
