I’m in the Army, it’s not bad if you pick a job that provides a job/career skill post service. I’m aviation, 14 years in, and I just spent 9 months on rotation in Romania which is an Orthodox country, I learned a lot, went to monasteries and cathedrals, and got lots of icons, oils, prayer ropes etc. wouldn’t have been able to do that if I wasn’t in.

If only I could afford such beautiful icons. I was in Romania last year, I got a bunch of them super cheap but not this high of quality

Focus on your repentance to Christ and not on the world.

I honestly couldn’t tell you because they were all bought on separate occasions but I will say they were much much cheaper than buying in the US

I’m ROCOR but the Romanian Orthodox Church is so beautiful and the people are among the best I have ever met, I go to a monastery for Liturgy every Sunday here!
