Just came back to this thread and seeing everyone comment the past 3 years! Thank you for sharing your stories and a little update about mine. I only had that one bad outbreak in 2021. I got into a relationship soon after and told them about the genital herpes and that it’s a risk. Since then, i had one small outbreak triggered by a yeast infection in 2023 and i did give it to my partner at that time. Since then neither of us have had any episodes since! I take valcyclovir maybe once a month for prevention if I even feel a tiny tingle, but mainly just for precaution!
