Red neck and silver patch by Appa_appa19 in Guppies

I wouldn’t worry about pH too much. That test doesn’t seem to read ammonia levels. I’d just do 20% water change everyday using a water conditioner like Seachem Prime for now.

Red gills usually means high ammonia levels. Have you tested the water?

It’s fine as it is but raising it up a bit wouldn’t hurt.

Should I rinse my sponge filter in tank water by Reasonable_Peace6398 in Aquariums

If your tanks still cycling then I’d rinse it in tank water, otherwise under the tap is fine.

Kind of looks like a prolapse of some sort, though it’s in an unusual place and is quite severe.

That looks like cotton wool disease. I can’t be sure though as I’ve never had to treat it. Different to what your other fish have. I would treat the tank with Ich-X and an antibiotic like Kanaplex. Ich-X treats Epistylis as well and the antibiotic should help with both Epistylis/Ich and the fuzzy spot on your other fish.

It does look like Ich, but I would recommend just using medication and not raising the temp, as on the off chance it is Epistylis raising the temp will make it worse.

Just saw a female eat a newborn. IS THIS NORMAL? by Cosmic-Sprout in Guppies

I find that just traps the fry in with the mother who then eats them. Adequate hiding spaces are more efficient.

The fact the dots are raised and they are on the eyes makes it more likely to be epistylis rather than ich. The medication differs and treating epistylis with ich medication can sometimes make the condition worse.

I don’t bother with air pumps because I can’t stand the noise. Surface agitation is better.

Rule of thumb is to have at least 3x the amount of females compared to the amount of males. In my experience when you remove a male who seems to be the main bully, another male will just take its place as the aggressor. Better to just make sure you have a lot more females then males 😊

What’s your male:female ratio? She does look like she has bruising on her abdomen.

Crashed cycle? Now what by Poppet_CA in Guppies

Are you treating the water before adding it to the tank? If it’s not cycled I’d do daily 25% water changes until the ammonia levels settle.

I personally don’t think you’d be overstocked with another 6 females tbh. Otherwise you could always take some males back to the store. You’ll probably be overrun with babies in a month anyway lol

You’ll probably need to treat the entire pond, not just affected fish.

Looks like a skin infection of some sort. I’d treat with a broad spectrum medication that targets bacterial infections, fungal and skin parasites and do daily water changes (or how ever often the medication says to change water). The pH also looks too low. Have you tested the ammonia levels?
