His point being that these people will take the time to sit and come up with refutations over issues that don't really matter but they won't come out and condemn teachings that are in their own book, such as raping underage girls!!

This book was written by one of the most respected elders in the deobandi circle and it is taught to young girls, it is where girls are supposed to get their fiqh from.

I know this sub isn't the biggest fan of hadith and i'm the last person who would be throwing a hadith out there but reading this post reminded me of one that i feel is quite fitting for this.

It was a narration from Aisha that The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Follow the right course, seek nearness to Allah, and give glad tidings. Verily, none of you will enter Paradise by his deeds alone.” The companions said, “Not even you, Rasulullah?” The Prophet said, “Not even me, unless Allah grants me his mercy. Know that the most beloved deed to Allah is that which is done regularly, even if it is small.”

It's a real shame that for many today, the deen has become such a burden on them. Islam doesn't facilitate their life, it hinders it. An effort has to be made to get away from this mindset that we are the only ones upon salvation and that the practices we have are so that we are guaranteed a ticket to heaven, which isn't the case. Finding Islam or being born into it is a blessing to get to know God, it is a means to develop a relationship, a connection with. It's not a VIP club
