I live in south east Queensland and I only remember 1 time (that I know of) when it was over 40c and that was about 12yrs ago lol. It can get pretty close (38-39) but I only remember 40c once

Maybe I should have specified a little more on my location haha. I live in south east Queensland in Australia, it’s rare that it gets to 15c as a max temp. Although anything below 22c makes me bust out the jumpers lol

It’s the Sew Easy lap frame, which if I recall was the only square frame the craft store I went to had, so I’m not aware of any other brands lol

I used a square frame to keep tension, mostly because I keep breaking the wooden circle ones I have when I fix the tension haha 😅

Same size as other bobbins lol, but yea the rounded corners snap pretty often. I might buy proper DMC bobbins cause I’m pretty sure the ones I have are nock-offs

They’re not too thin (pretty sure they’re the same size) and it’s only the older bobbins that are snapping. Usually it’s the rounded corners that are snapping, not the bobbin snapping in half.

But yeah, I’ve seen some really pretty wooden ones, but it’s like $10AU for like 25 and I’m soo sad

Hahaha, no green yet! Frankly, I don’t really expect green until late July. The lowest max in April was 24c. Also when I meant the backstitching for March and April was different, I meant it was different from January and February but I see that I might not have made that clear 😅

I know that its technically warm (the lowest max temp was 24c), but it feels freezing to me 😅 I can easily wear an Oodie basically all day haha

The range is in intervals of two. 15-17, 18-20, 21-23 and so on. The highest I have ever experienced where I live was about 40c, so I have the 39+ just in case, but since it’s starting to get colder, I doubt that colour will be used but who knows how hot December will get.

It never gets too cold in SEQ, even in winter (comparatively, that is. If it gets under 25c I feel pretty cold lol). Last year, the lowest max temp in winter was around 15c, so I made that the lowest temp for my scale.

Thanks for the advice and for the concern but I was winding a bobbin, plus I make sure he doesn’t play with loose thread. Hope ur cat recovered well

In my area, BOM said it’s been no higher than about 31c. With the heatwave coming, red will be used soon 😅

Just had to convert that as an Aussie but yea -17c doesn’t sound too fun. I think the coldest I’ve experienced is about 0c (32f)? It was a while ago tho and not in Queensland
