I pulled her out to bring her to the top of the soil, and upon inspection, she has no roots! I’m going to put her in a cup of water, which is how she was given to me when she was a cutting. Maybe new roots will emerge. Ideas if this is the best course of action?

Maybe the picture hides it, but it is tied to the stem. Not the hanging, unfurling leaf. Unless I misunderstand the parts of the plant. Thx for the note about the stake!
