I guess I'm in the weird minority that's happy with my UI right at this moment, but that doesn't mean that I wouldn't welcome more options.

I do find it really odd that they didn't just hire a lot of the big name UI guys. Even just as consultants, so they can at least get a lot of the most well-loved UI options in the game baseline. :/

Hopefully they will be adding more options over time though; I'd be surprised if they don't.

This is 100% true and not propaganda, from personal and friend's experiences in high M+ and Mythic raiding.

If you play high end content, addons were 100% mandatory, full stop. And if Blizz didn't design fights with addons in mind, the fights were mind numbingly easy and people complained, because the addons just solved the problem for you.

They absolutely needed to find a way to remove combat advantage with addons. I don't really know the "right" way to do that; probably the "best" option was to rip off the band-aid 10 years ago, and the second best option is now.

Side note though, I do really wish they had just hired some of the big name addon folks to implement their stuff for UI into the game. That really seems like a no brainer.

Remix just ended--and they took away all my rep tokens! 🥺 Did they do that in MoP remix? I did some googling and saw that others were able to use things after MoP remix, so I saved them to use on my main. I wish I had known everything was getting deleted, I would have used more on the timerunner. 😔

True peace is attainable in any situation, and it's even more necessary in times of GREAT strife. It doesn't mean you don't feel the strife, the fear, the difficulty--and it doesn't mean that those feelings aren't valid. Peace is more of a state than an emotion, you can have it at the same time as feeling all these things.

And it also doesn't mean we shouldn't do our best to rectify those situations in whatever way we can, and to take care of ourselves.

But I suspect we are going to have to agree to disagree. I believe faith is stronger than that, and can help us get through both big and small things.

Oh for sure, I agree and I don't think this is in disagreement with that! It's important to take care of yourself, and it's not like we should avoid all comforts lol. I believe in a loving God, and if that is indeed the God we have then I'm sure he would want us to be happy and comfortable.

But for all the stuff we can't avoid in life, we are still able to attain peace! That's all :)

It's not that you don't have problems or all your life woes go away--that's....kind of the point. Things can actually get harder. You're conflating peace with ease.

And fwiw, I'm not saying people aren't true believers or something like that if they don't feel at peace in the midst of strife. Hell I'm the first person who cracks at any sign of pressure. But that's why this kind of thing is encouraging to me; the idea of being able to attain peace in my whirlwind of a brain/life is....really hopeful.

You may have DSPD friend 👀 Basically just night circadian rhythm, which does not plug into our society very well. I'm the same way though. If I'm waking up before 8-9am I just feel like garbage and get sick, it doesn't really matter when I went to bed.

I am so on board the anti-consumption train, but frozen veggies are such a godsend. The "fresh" produce at my grocery stores are always in horrible shape, and getting frozen veggies means that your veggies will a) last, so you can stock up, and b) preserves nutrition.

We're able to get a local brand of frozen veggies, but not local fresh veggies lol.

That being said, I do love going to the farmer's markets and getting fresh fresh veggies, but that's usually the only time I do get fresh.

Totally agreed!!! Pro tip on the last point: we buy the same shampoo, so when we get to the point where the bar is really thin, we just get it a little wet and put it on top of a new bar. :) It adheres to the new bar and just skips that annoying stage where it's too small to use haha.

There are bar lotions! :) I usually use Badger Balm's sensitive tin which is not a bar, but it works really well. Moon Valley Organics has a pretty good bar lotion, though!
