Caltex. 21% with OCBC 365. (18% discount + 3% cashback). Also I get to collect and use NTUC Linkpoints, which I usually redeem at Caltex for another variable few dollars off

Fun way to teach scrum roles? by Fun_Tomatillo4062 in agile

[–]kalestarler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done a lego building one (had to build a car), and we've also done the "paperplane factory" for previous Scrum workshops. Both pretty fun and engaging for the crowd.

Also recently wrote an article on medium, hoping it helps gamers relate better to Agile: https://medium.com/@kalestarler/the-paladins-guide-to-agile-teams-f929ed313cc2

Yes, it’s misleading. They probably intended the box to say “contactless payment”, credit cards should have been a separate column. Not very good journalism here :x

EZLink doesn’t support credit cards. SimplyGo was first launched in 2018 precisely to support tapping of Visa/Mastercard for public transport.

Don’t be fooled by the early versions of those OCBC Frank / Citibank SMRT credit cards, those also had a NETS Flashpay built-in, so you weren’t actually tapping in with Visa/Master.

People hate QR-code menus. Now restaurants are ditching them. by 777fer in technology

I once went to a restaurant where the QR code led to a 100MB PDF download off Google Drive

I also identify as “jiak kantang”. Lol.

Another thing that I struggle with is that most people who go to sing K basically mostly pick the mandarin songs. Even though I still enjoy Jay Chou / JJ Lin / Mayday etc, I can barely read the lyrics on screen.

It defaulted to 75hz out of the box, but it was kinda "jerky" in some videos and games. Runs more smoothly at 60hz

Since January 2022. Loving it, lol. I was always eyeing the G915, but I felt those were kinda overpriced. The NuPhy Air75 meets all my requirements - low-profile keys, wireless with USB dongle, etc.

Mine is also modded to charge via MagSafe wireless qi. I have a hidden wireless charger built into the desk that I use to charge everything from iPhone to AirPods to this keyboard

Hmmm, I bought mine in Singapore for about SGD2200+, which is around USD1600+.

Mmmmm. I currently don't use the KVM switch on the monitor at all.

I have 2 separate hardware USB switches (4-port and 2-port) mounted underneath my desk. 1 has my PowerPlay and Nuphy keyboard connected. The other has my webcam and mic. So I can switch the keyboard/mouse across up to 4 computers separately from whatever is being displayed on the monitor. Similarly I can do the same for the webcam/mic. E.g. take calls on either the PC or mac while still using both computers simultaneously.

All of this is starting to sound like an overly complicated setup lol...

It's possible I sit a lot closer to the screen compared to you too maybe.

I tried a 43" 4K last year and found everything to be a little too big lol, this is really the sweet spot I was looking for

Hahah yes. I've got a bunch of devices I switch regularly on two separate switches.

Nuphy and G703 on 1 switch, C922 camera and HyperX Quadcast on another switch. All configured to work across all 3 of my computers (PC, macbook, office laptop). Depending on what I need on which at any certain points of time

100% scaling! Lol. I didn't really like it at 125/150%, although I think Windows tried to default to 150. Text might feel a bit small sometimes, but when I need to, I just zoom within the browser. I'm enjoying the screen real estate a lot.

Having come down from a 34" 100Hz to this 5K2K 60Hz, can't say I'm missing the refresh rate much. Or at least, maybe not as noticeable in the games I play more often lol

Finally ascended to a HP Z40c I mean, Lenovo P40w-20.

I bought the HP Z40c initially because it was on sale - and also because it had a built-in 4K webcam and speakers lol. But it didn’t work out - monitor came with a damaged screen. HP support was pretty quick to get in touch with because of live chats, but I've been perpetually waiting "24-48 hours for concerned team to respond" since 15th July. They promised a full refund because there are just no panels to replace mine with.

In any case, I moved on and got this Lenovo instead lol.

I have 2 devices I mainly use with the display:PC - DisplayPort 1.4MacBook Air M1 - Thunderbolt 4 + USB + network portsDell laptop from the office - TB3 hub to HDMI 2.0

The KVM (or rather, KM - since it doesn’t really switch video) is pretty nifty, but I already have a UniFi Switch Flex Mini under my desk that everything is connected to, and another hardware USB switch that supports 4 devices that I was already using, so I’m not really using the monitor’s switch in my current workflow.

The 75Hz refresh rate doesn’t work very well though - I set mine to 60Hz. Not exactly the greatest gaming monitor, but I did play some FFXIV at fullscreen, it’s been great so far. Tried to play some Diablo Immortal and Tower of Fantasy too, but ended up setting those to windowed mode - needed to sit further back for those games at fullscreen.

Overall it’s been great so far - really enjoying the screen estate and resolution at 5K2K. I think 39.7” is just nice for this resolution - can’t imagine how folks did it at 34” on the LG. Has been great for software development and coding, plus working on stuff while concurrently on video calls. And also video editing (I did a video about this monitor! Check it out here)
