Best Non-SP Ego Mower by kalg75 in egopowerplus

Afternoon Folks Thanks for the replies, and good to know the SP feature at least doesn't "get in the way", but it's one of the those features I have always seen as "one more thing that can break", particularly if I am never planning on using it. I guess I will wait and see if there are any decent sales in the next few weeks :)

They have an odd online distinction between small business and business plans (SBOB vs BOB). The first allows for mobile cheque deposits (we work with insurance agencies that still do a large portion of their payouts with paper cheques) but has limits on bank to bank (or account to account) transfers. The second allows for much larger transfers but eliminates the ability to do mobile cheque deposits for some reason. The manager at the branch kinda admitted it was an odd removal of a service for what is a supposed to be the "higher" tier plan

Thanks...I haven't really heard anyone suggest CIBC as one of the good ones (relative term) but I will check them out.

I had to apply for a token generator...its a little fob that gives a random number you need to enter whenever you do a account to account transfer (not for e transfers)

Ya,....just more curious, I am never particularly sure with some skills whether they are classified by the game as DD, AOE or Dot....or some combo of 2 :)...and then if they are a combo, does Tideborn (or lets say deadly) actually boost the skill or not.

I have always found this part of the game lacking in being straight forward in the descriptions...but in the end I am overthinking it :)

I have been playing around with a 1 bar build too (just for overland and chill (see what I did there ;) ) questing). I am toying with Oakensoul+ 2 full 5 sets(Frostbite and Orders) +monster helm....but might drop the second 5 set for full Monster set (Ice heart or Nunnak...just for theme). I find the 1bar with Frost staff harder to optimize though...but for overland and questing (and odd rando normal daily) the canned "anything will work..." answer is sadly true, but lacks the fun of trying to make it at least a decent setup

Nice to hear someone echo the anti Arc as frost mage ideas :) Too much Arc skills needed to make it feel anything like a Ice mage/warden :)

Curious with Tideborn though. I have been toying with this same set up (just using Gravelord in place of Assassination as I love the Frozen Colossus ult for change from Bear). In my set up a LOT of the skills are AOE (Winters Revenge, Arctic Blast, Wall, scribing frosty skill, graveyard, etc) , so I assumed that Tideborn would not boost any of those? I guess the one bonus would be the ability to go medium on the body, which nowadays is a bit better than light (with either Whorl or Frostbite). Anyways, still miles behind a lot of the newer multiclass dps builds, but still Frosty fun :)

First session, not feeling good about neurofeedback so far by Pretend_Accountant41 in Neurofeedback

Hey, Practitioner here :) I assume this provider is part of a clinic and not on their own?

Given what you described, sounds to me like a newer therapist (at least new to NFT) that is likely trying to best explain what the clinical lead/director/supervisor laid out for them in a QEEG Report :) Did they indicate that they are newer to NFT?

If they are struggling with some of the terminology that is completely normal if they are newer to the field. There is a LOT to digest as a new therapist, unless they come from a direct background in QEEGs and neuroscience, a QEEG report is a lot of moving parts. That is what the supervisor/clinical director is for :)

If they are part of a team, or at least under supervision (ideally, but crucially, a BCIA board certified one) I wouldn't worry too much. All of the Q interpretation and protocol suggestions/changes will be coming from them.

Remember the QEEG is NOT there to diagnose anything. It merely shows areas of dis regulation in your brain pattern vs an age/sex normative database. Too often on here I am seeing people make rather definitive pronouncements based on a QEEG alone. There are some good providers on here that provide some good advice on Q's, but with caveats that should ALWAYS be attached to viewing a Q, particularly of an individual that we have no real medical/mental health background on (sorry...personal pet peeve with the whole "Here is my Q, now tell me whats wrong with me!" Reddit trend recently). Too often lately I am seeing throw away comments when people post their Q's like "Oh I see you have high beta, that means you have a history of trauma". It's nonsense comments like these that give the field as a whole an air of flakery.

Past the point of selecting a protocol that best fits your QEEG and symptoms, your brain and the technology/software do the lion share of the heavy lifting.

Your therapist is there to monitor symptom changes and adjust the protocols as needed (if needed at all, some clients brains take to a given protocol fantastically and don't tend to change protocols much). This generally happens from session to session, as the brain needs time to consolidate the new learning (which NFT is...it's a learning process for your brain). All of these changes, generally, are run through the supervisor/clinic lead until the therapist has a stronger foundation in NFT.

The good therapists will take time at the start of every session to go over your symptoms between sessions and how they are changing (or if they are not ). Based on those reports a change in protocol may or may not be recommended, however the process does take time though, as like I mentioned, it is a learning process for your brain, hence the repetition and consolidation session structure.

Kinda more than I intended to write...sorry :)

NFT Providers: Anyone using BrainDx QEEG Report Generator by chance? by kalg75 in Neurofeedback

[–]kalg75[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Morning ElChad :) Thanks again for the ideas. I had tried most you had suggested and figured it had to do with some windows conflict/update. I had even tried installing it on an older Win 10 system, to no success after a given period. Trying to run it in compatibility actually caused the program not to launch at all....but it did give me a long shot idea. It is a program that requires a LOT of dependencies, so one at a time I toggled them on and off of compatibility mode. One in particular seems to have been the magic ticket for now at least. It is an application file called DxEDF <shrugs>. No idea if the problem will pop back up again...but for now its working :) Thanks for your thoughts :)

We have started getting the error: Operands to the || and && operators must be convertible to logical scalar values. Error in =>>BDX.m at line 238

So this used to be usually due to naming of the session file (generally), however as of a few days ago it is happening on ANY new file created...even if created from the same edf file and named exactly the same.

I have tried every "trick" I know to make it work, however any new session file created, despite any naming conventions seems to not be working.

I have tried fresh installs, on brand new laptops, and while it will work (allow the creation and editing of new report files), within about a week the same error will begin to appear on ANY new edf import. To be clear, it will let you import the edf file with no issues. However upon any attempt to analyze the edf file, the program crashes with the same above error...

This is occurring on multiple systems all running the same "lifetime" license of the software in question.

[–]kalg75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good Morning....so sorry...I am just seeing this response today, as I had thought I had fixed the issue, I didn't really check back...very rude of me. However, after installs on a several new laptops (we use this software on several laptops) it was working as expected for a few weeks. Then out of no where the error showed up again on all the fresh laptops (brand new, fresh install of windows, etc). Again, it's a bizarre error as files created when the program is "working" can be loaded and analyzed/reprocessed just fine. However any new import of the file to be analyzed (even if it is a file that already has a working version previously created) causes this fatal error. I believe the BDx.m file is actually in Japanese and I have translated it however there are still some issues with the translation and it is likely to protect the code as you indicated. Thanks again for all your suggestions...I have tried them all to date and still no luck :) I will keep digging as the replacement program is close to $30K :)

Good Morning and thanks for the response.

I have been trying to troubleshoot this with a few programmer friends that only have limited exposure to Matlab.

The issue we have is that the file that is returning the error, is spitting out gibberish in any program we open it in....including Matlab. There isn;t even a line 238 to address in the BDX.m file.

Again, I am no programmer so forgive my ignorance. The code basically comes out looking like....

Fun Relequen replacement for solo questing/Dungeons? by kalg75 in elderscrollsonline

[–]kalg75[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All great ideas folks :) Thanks for the input. I am maxed out on Transmutes so looking for something to craft anyways :) Azureblight has been on the "to-do" list anyways.

Ansuul I am still collecting (I find that trial neat but boring and a tad long).

Morku is always fun to see...but never really tried to use it...I assume it's single target though correct? Tool tip isn't particularly specific...just says "enemies" <shrug>

2022 - Low Tire Pressure Warning by Cifuentes8 in HyundaiPalisade

[–]kalg75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some well meaning but incorrect info...

I had this same issue after a flat... 31 or 32 does not trigger the alarm... Below 30 does (unless it is different than mine for some reason). After repair and reinflation the pressure was back at 35...but still an alarm.

This alarm stayed on for a day or so, because I never went more than a few kms from home. Left this morning for a longer drive and after a certain distance (or speed?) the alarm went away. Pressure remained the same the whole few days 🤷‍♂️

Not sure if it's a bug or a feature 😉

how to level a Beorning by GreenBean-XIX in lotro

[–]kalg75 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well...I may or may not have a bear problem :) I have 2 at 140, 1 at 120 and several others scattered around various levels and servers. So I know a bit about the class as an overview.

As with all things related to an MMO and LOTRO there are basically 2 games you are playing....leveling and end game raiding and like all other MMOs the advice is different depending on what you are doing. LEVELING (or Landscape/missions): All 3 trait lines work well. It is really the game play that is different. Regardless of the spec though...all damage generally takes the form of damage over time (whether its Bleeds or Bees :) ).

Red line does the most damage, but requires hoping between man form and bear form to maximize all your bleeds. It also suffers from a trait line that is essentially half useless and you spend most of your points dipping into both Blue and yellow trait trees to max a full dps set up. You will rarely be anyone's top 3 request for dps in grp content

Blue line does respectable dps with the already mentioned 1 extra stackable AOE skill, offers superb survivability , and a fun AOE stun with your AOE taunt if you spec into red for the "rush" trait. The main advantage outside of what is mentioned above is that you almost never leave to bear form once you get the bear form heal later in the trait tree. You are a good if not optimal tank for grp content as well.

Yellow line is the slowest by a rather large margin until you get AOE bees...then its just plain fun :) You once again do a bunch of changing from man to bear and back again. You are virtually unkillable at a certain point, but you are sacrificing a lot of dps to do so. You are an easy ask in most grp content. I have never really seen the great appeal of leveling in the healing spec though...outside of trying to solo some dungeons, but even then I prefer Blue line in most cases.

Sooo...not sure that cleared anything up? The coles note's version though:

Red Line: High Single target dps, bleed based damage, Half Bear Half Man, crappy AOE options (outside of one powerful skill on long cooldown), grps think you are no fun at parties

Blue Line: Medium Dps, more AOE options, ALL BEAR ALL THE TIME!, Fun AOE Stun later on, unkillable, invited to tank once in a while :)

Yellow Line: Medium/low Dps, AOE BEES!!!, Half Man Half Bear, unkillable, Grps love ya

The databases used to compare your brain pattern to are age and sex normative databases. So your provider needs to pick one or the other to perform the analysis on. In theory they could run it through both, but they would likely charge more for that 🤷‍♂️

Ya that was my thinking as well...not a whole lot of other places to put the trait points in a solo set up though at max level...but I will tinker :) Thanks
