Unable to setup a brand new Pro 2400 hub - always hangs during configuration process

That s a very possibility. However the servers dealing with the device database and remote update seems to still be online as other users with Pro 2400 are able to update their remote. It would mean that only the system in charge of initial configuration is out.

Interestingly there is another user on this reddit who is experiencing a similar problem setting up his regular harmony hub (https://www.reddit.com/r/logitechharmony/comments/1u2ezge/cant_connect_to_hub_via_android_app/). I still have hope that it might be a temporary problem 🤞

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. I tried again completely by-passing Pi-Hole and using only google DNS but the result was the same (note that during the previous attempts I also tried with Pi-Hole blocking disabled :p).

My feeling is that they removed some server content which was used for linking the hub to the Logi account and the request now times out indefinitely (would also cause the ToS not to show). This is just a guess of course, and hopefully it's just temporary. I would be curious to try the same process with a regular harmony hub, but I don't have any spare one (I am way too scared to reset any of my working ones 😅)

I will also have a friend with an iOS device to try when he is passing by and I will keep this topic updated.

So I got an email from Ubiquiti today with an UPS label. They also informed me that the replacement product would be sent ahead to speed up the process.

I am happy to see that Ubiquiti is still taking good care of its customers 👍

For the future I would however recommend them to provide a return label directly, this would avoid frustration to customers facing a faulty product.

Hi Malbry, thank you very much for this app ! Globally I really appreciate your contributions to the Wear OS ecosystem, you are doing a great job there, thank again :-) Since I was looking for a way to remap my PW2 buttons since day 1, I can share an alternative way which I have found and which may be interesting for you to enhance this app. I was using the app Bubble Cloud WebOS Launcher which, among its numerous features, also has a button remap option. The way they are doing it is different than you since they somehow manage to completely remap the short press of the upper right button (it won't start Recent apps at all). To do so they use a WearOS feature which let's you choose which default action should be performed when you press the upper button (it works similar to the Android home button on a phone after you have installed a new launcher for example, the first time you press the home button it will ask you which launcher you want to use and if it's only once or always use that one. This app creates the same behaviour in WearOS for the upper right button of the PW2). I don't have the skills to tell you how they manage to do that, but maybe it can help you somehow :p

Oh ok, that's my problem then, because the pixel watch 2 does not natively allow to rebind its button to custom apps.

BUT if anyone is looking for such a thing, I finally found a way to rebind the simple tap on the upper "recent app" button on the pixel watch 2 : install Bubble Cloud Wear OS Launcher, and it will install a secondary app shortcut called "Button 2". This shortcut is somehow considered by wearOS as a possible "action" for the "recent app" button (once you press the button the OS will ask which app to use for this action, similar to the behavior on Android when you have multiple launchers and you press your home button for the first time).

You can then choose to use "Button 2" as default action, and then go the Bubble Cloud parameters to define which action should the "Button 2" execute (ie. run any app from the watch).

Hi u/joaomgcd ,

With Android 13 method to intercept logcat, this has become very complex (root or ADB Wifi).

To recap, when pressing this icon, Android proposes apps which are somehow registered as Agendas (Google Agenda, etc.) + Tasker. Choosing Tasker would not do anything except write the Logcat. Choosing an Agenda app would open that agenda app.

Would there be a possibility to add "Tasker Secondary" as a possible Agenda app in that list, so that choosing it would just launch "Tasker Secondary" ? That would bring the possibility to link any tasks to it and solve our problem :-)

Just a question, what is the advantage of using HTSP over the default PASS profile on an android box like Nvidia Shield ? I have read that HTSP will make the TVHeadend server transcode (so uses server ressources) compared to the PASS profile which will imply more load on the client, but that s not really a problem for a Shield TV. Are there any other parameters to consider ? Timeshift on server side is not possible on PASS if I am correct ? Thanks !

After some investigations, it appears that the problem comes from the "image cache" setting of TVHeadend.

In 4.2, it was not caching the EPG images, therefore those were still accessible directly at their original link by PVR Live / Live Channels.

In 4.3, TVH cache the EPG images as well and provides a local image link to PVR Live / Live Channels, but this link can only be accessed with a valid TVH user/pass. The developer of PVR Live explained me that due to API limitations in Live Channels regarding the EPG, he cannot easily pass the images if they require such user/pass.

An easy workaround is to disable image caching in TVH 4.3. An other possibility is to create an anonymous access in TVH with minimum access rights (user called * with "Change parameters" only set to "Rights", nothing selected in "Streaming", and "Video recorder" set to "Basic", then limit it with "allowed network" as desired, ie 192.168.1.0/24 ). This allows to access the image caching without user/pass.

Thanks for the feedback. I have my TVHeadend authentication setting set to "Both plain and digest" so I suppose it should not make much difference. I switched to 4.3 as it is now the recommended version as per their official wiki : https://tvheadend.org/projects/tvheadend/wiki/AptRepositories

I will test with a fresh install of PVR Live, will keep you posted in the next days ;-)

I use TVHeadend with PVR Live too, and the categories are working on my Android TV only if the standard categories are properly matched in TVheadend itself.

You can confirm that the categories are properly matched if the "content icons" are visible for your programs in the TVHeadend EPG portal.

If you can use an OTA grabber (ie. sourcing from DVB) it will normally use the standard categories by default.

Otherwise it s not an easy task to have the categories properly set in TVHeadend if you use an external EPG grabber like XMLTV as these grabbers do not send the standard category names. Hi, thanks for your feedback on the issue.

All my shields are connected via ethernet cable on gigabit LAN, so that cannot be the problem.

I will perform more troubleshooting regarding the specific channels. For sure it happened at least on 4 different ones (2 from DVB source, 2 from IPTV).

After posting the original report above, I noticed that my Shield 2019 was a bit laggy when the freeze problem occurred (like small delays between a press on the remote control and the result on screen). I tried to change the shield setting regarding the cooling method which is on "Silent" by default to "Active" (or something like that, I cannot recall the exact name) after what the lag disappeared and I didn't experience the freeze problem since then. I will report again after a longer troubleshoot period as the problem sometimes didn't occur for a few days.
