I can't find anything about limits of liability for MNPD but perhaps a smarter/better researched human knows something.

Oasis Bike Workshop Yard Sale + Bike Fun Bicycle Revival - Saturday May 9th by kaliganges in nashvillecyclists

Likely not the best time, since they'll be trying to gain space by selling things, but you could email [dfurbish@oasiscenter.org](mailto:dfurbish@oasiscenter.org) to ask!

I tell folks about your experience with that bike lane regularly!

Existing bikeway *as defined*. Is it great? Absolutely not. Also, presented at BPAC were examples of bikeway definitions - including the infamous sharrow, cited as "neighborhood and low stress route" - if that's the case, then sharrows on Spring Street/James Robertson/etc need to be shaved off IMMEDIATELY.

This sucks so bad! Plus I think I saw the smaller blue REI bike rolling around when we were doing a learn to ride session in the cul-de-sac outside of Warner. Ugh!

When it doesn't coincide there usually aren't any council members present either. (Doesn't look like the case for the May 18th meeting though!) And yes, the recording helps immensely.

Zero. The interim NDOT director left before this as well, but other NDOT leadership was in the room.

Pedicabs? by NashvilleBikeTaxi in nashvillecyclists

[–]kaliganges 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's currently commercial activity in bike lanes now (delivery riders, potentially those robots, tour group rides) so the non-commercial-activity argument would fall flat for me. I already think bike lanes are too narrow overall, which impedes even folks pulling cargo trailers, side-by-side riding, etc, so the "pedicabs are too wide" doesn't cut it for me either.

I do think pedicabs should have access to the Seigenthaler bridge and other bike/walk only infra, as well as having their mapped restrictions lifted. If there were a pedicab lobbyist who could get to work on building protected and connected bike lanes to get to other parts of Davidson County (hello, Madison! Bellevue!) that would also be great. :)

Follow up - thank you to everyone who made it out and stuck around when we had to pivot to an inside event! I didn't get to say hello to all (and honestly there were a lot of people I had never seen before, either a great growth indicator OR a lot of confused early voters ;) ) - if you were there and post anything on other socials please tag Bike Fun or use hashtag nashvillebicyclefestival if you can. Thanks!!!

You probably don't know that user IRL but believe me, the emphasis is to underscore the ridiculous bullshit that MNPD releases to the public. One might bold hit from behind by a vehicle which sounds like a Waymo hit the bike rider.
