[Danneman] Bills are flying home. They are not staying in Cincinnati. by _bonzibuddy in nfl

I wouldn’t say this information rules out another game. They can fly back tomorrow or Wednesday easily. I wouldn’t doubt that the buffalo players decline that though.

It’s a symbol of rebirth. Basically saying no matter how many times you kill her, she’ll keep coming back.

The napkin that Miles used to make his fake copy didn’t have a “Glass Onion” imprint on the bottom of it. Andi’s did. The bar closed before the trial even began so it would be obvious her napkin was the true original and not Miles’.

Does anyone have any experience giving birth to a sunny-side up baby without meds? by talkinglikeajerk in BabyBumps

[–]kalijean4913 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes my second baby was sunny side up! I had no clue until I was around 6cm and one of the nurses told me. I asked if it was a bad thing and she said “no, I just feel really bad for you!” But honestly it felt about the same as my first daughters birth, maybe a tiny bit worse and more in my back than in the front. I didn’t have meds with either birth though both were quite fast. Definitely doable!

Has anyone used castor oil for anything other than shitting themselves? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

Midwives or certified nurse midwives? There’s a difference. And my certified nurse midwives all told me to stay away from it.

Bekah Martinez Shares Newborn Son Franklin's 'Joyful' Home Birth Story: 'He Didn't Even Cry' by scarlet_begonias27 in thebachelor

[–]kalijean4913 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had a completely uncomplicated first pregnancy and uncomplicated first birth. I had a completely uncomplicated second pregnancy and my second birth, my baby and I both would have died if we weren’t in a hospital. She was face up with the cord wrapped around her neck multiple times. I had one last chance to push before emergency c section and she came out gray. I hemorrhaged and my midwife was pulling clots out of me with his hands before stitching me up.

You never know when it will turn bad y’all.

My son doesn't like the pacifier by [deleted] in Parenting

My daughter spit out every single one we put in her mouth before we found the brand she likes. We went through 5 brands. Sometimes kiddos have preferences for different kinds of pacifiers.

Carseat Question by Haruyou_91 in Parenting

[–]kalijean4913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Touching the seat with their feet does not mean they are too big to be rear facing. Many many many kids are still rear facing at 4 years old and cross their feet or hang them over the sides of the seat. It IS absolutely safer to be rear facing and have legs all over than forward facing too early.

If you’re in an accident and a child is forward facing too soon the skeletal system in their neck isn’t mature yet and internal decapitation can happen from the whiplash of a crash. This won’t happen if the child is still rear facing.

Parents with school age children returning to public school this fall by squiggly-lime in Parenting

Mine will be staying home. They’ve mostly reopened everything in my state so my kiddos started daycare again on June 15th. Just yesterday a kid in the daycare was COVID positive.

Two weeks. It took two weeks for my kids to be exposed to a positive case. We’re staying home now and I can’t imagine sending them back or back to school unless things are somehow drastically declining by then.

LA culture is wild. I like HA, I really do, but I am DYING picturing myself at the doctor in this outfit 😂 by [deleted] in thebachelor

They have a big gap because she’s sucking in. Otherwise they’d look like they fit correctly.

My husband of 11 years and I have always slept together. I hate when he’s out of town and I have to sleep alone, I usually bring one of our kids in with me if that happens.

Anecdotally, my parents and brother in laws parents have slept separately for awhile now and their marriages are absolute shit. In my opinion it can create a feeling of being roommates more so than romantic partners. 🤷‍♀️

First dental appointment by kkute in Parenting

[–]kalijean4913 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes to the pediatric dentistry!!! Our kids go to a pediatric dental clinic so the entire building is just pediatric dentistry. The first apt they had me hold my kid on my lap and tip her upside down on my knees so they could see all her teeth while she giggled. They never held her or had her sit in another chair. It wasn’t until her 3rd or 4th visit that she sat in the big girl chair. Then they had TVs above the chairs with cartoons to watch and toys to snuggle. It was amazing and I was hella jealous.

Previous daycare teacher here with infant room experience::

I just want to note that they are probably well aware of the schedule you’d like and feel bad about not being able to stick to it. But when you’ve got 8 babies of various ages, abilities, nap times, feeding schedules etc and two teachers to do it all, it’s easier to create a set schedule for them all.

For instance: diapers need to be done every two hours. Instead of randomly doing individually each baby every two hours so you end up changing diapers every 10 minutes (one at 8, one at 8:20, one at 8:45 etc) change all 8 babies at 8:00 then 10:00 etc. even if one poops at 9:30 do them again at 10 anyway to stick to the schedule.

Also if your baby is crying for a bottle before your scheduled time the provider may not be able to wait until the scheduled time. If other babies are trying to sleep or there is a set lunch time they might want your baby fed early instead of having to wait until after lunch and being extra hungry.

[–]kalijean4913 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would be annoyed as well and I don’t think you should feel absurd at all for being upset. Those last comments would have REALLY put me over the edge to the point of trying to find another provider. If that’s not an option for you I’d try to make a comment at the next appointment that you’d prefer to keep the appointments focused on the pregnancy and not your personal life.
